“Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday”
“A well presented and comfortable rental property in an excellent location a few minutes walk from the beaches, pubs and shop.”
Mature and interesting garden ideal for dogs.
“Bungalow holiday rental”
Detached bungalow in good class small housing estate. Close to village centre with variety of shops, restaurants and pubs. Less than 10 minutes walk to nearby beach. Bungalow with conservatory was clean and tidy, with wi-fi, tv etc, well fitted kitchen and comfortable furniture throughout. Car parking on front driveway with gardens front and rear
“The bungalow in Walls Road, Bembridge, Isle of Wight is very stunning comfortable and relaxing.”
We would recommend this bolt home for anyone that want to relax away from home but with all of the comforts of home. We will be booking again. We have had a number of holidays through Sykes and can and will always recommend them
“Lovely clean bungalow, just a five minute walk from the beach.”
In a nice quiet area & a great base for exploring the island. It's a lovely, comfortable house, with a great conservatory. The conservatory is a brilliant space & we spent most of our time there. The only downside is there isn't much lighting on the conservatory, so as soon as the sun starts to go down it's no longer possible to sit out there, which is a real shame.
“Bungalow situated in excellent area for beeches and shops.”
Was in clean condition and very comfortable, wanted for nothing.
“The isle of wight is beautiful i would recommend a holiday there.”
Our bungalow was exceptional so clean and comfortable. Such a relaxing holiday. Thankyou Sykes Holidays.
“THE GOOD :- Easy to find.”
Lovely Bembridge village. Near the beach and sea. Peaceful location. A good size bungalow. Comfy beds , great conservatory , a good size garden. THE BAD:- Not clean enough , dog hairs all over. We had to hoover , but still could not get all the dog hair cleaned. Our dog does not malt , so we did not expect dog hair. Living room settee and chair smelt sweaty. Kitchen too small. Garden requires a little t.l.c. IMPROVEMENT :- A swimming pool would be the icing on the cake. Better cleaner.
“Fantastic holiday house, with a lovely conservatory and well equipped kitchen.”
Great location for most of the sites (Alum Bay was our only long trip), and a 10 minute walk to the shops or beach. The children and dog loved the secure garden, and we all had a great holiday. Highly recommended and will be looking to book the same location next year
“The bungalow is lovely and the conservatory makes it so pleasant to be in, even on dull days.”
We would highly recomend this property. One point I would like to mention and that is the cost of the ferry to the Island,it would be helpfull if Sykes Holidays were able to offer discounted fares, as lots of other Island holiday companies seem to manage.
“We can't begin how to tell you how we feel about Ref 19 Walls Rd !”
The Bungalow was absolutely beautiful in every way possible, so very clean and furniture was a pleasure to use too, everything was thought of from cutlery to comfort , the Conservatory was a Bonus for us to sit in during the Evenings too after a long day exploring the Island , the only thing if I may say, was the Shower kept filling up with water, so my Husband cleared the water away ( of which nothing could be done on your part at that time,)I did leave a message with the Cleaner on the questioner leaflet, So yes a very lovely week we had , and we definitely will be back thank you, hoping also we left the Bungalow as best as we could too, Kind Regards Pauline and Chris Leach. If you feel the review enough for feed back !!
“Enjoyed our stay at Walls Road.”
Lovely clean comfy property..The only down side was the garden..It was not completely dog proof, as there was a hole in the wire of the fence .. There are local Badgers in the area so assume the hole was made by them.. Our small dogs managed to get through the hole once, thankfully only on our last day. The neighbour next door was not very undetstanding about it..So maybe best to keep your pets on leads in the garden, untill the fence is mended..
“A few negative points: we were left a note about putting the bins out, what went in what bin etc but not the actual day the bin was put out.”
We missed the first day which was a Monday but I made sure not to miss the second week. However the side gate I had to bring bins around was so stiff I could not open it so bins were not put out again. Also the bungalow had a washing machine which was much appreciated but no washing line or tumble dryer just an indoor clothes horse. I used the twin room and on the day we arrived I unpacked and went to put my dressing gown on the back of the bedroom door and the hooks came off in my hand!! Now positive points: the bungalow was on a very quiet peaceful road and situated in a lovely area of Bembridge. It was also very well equipped with kitchen utensils which was a nice surprise. The beds were comfy and loved the modern bathroom. Plenty of parking which on the Isle of Wight is unusual. If I were considering returning to the Isle of Wight I would consider returning here to this property.
“Everything was exactly as described.”
The bungalow was beautiful both inside and outside. All items were of a high quality and this further added to our enjoyment. Its location was excellent and easy to find. All in all a perfect holiday. We would definitely return to this property and this location.
“The bungalow was lovely, so homely with a fantastic conservatory.”
Excellent position in a quiet road and not far from the sea.
“The cottage was lovely.”
The conservatory made a big difference. Great location, very clean and had everything we needed.
It would be helpful if shampoos are being provided that they are full and also washing up liquid bottle is not left nearly empty. As I had an ear infection I had to locate the nearest medical centre. Perhaps details could be left with 'useful information list'

About the location
Ryde 7 miles; Newport 11 miles; Cowes 16 miles; Yarmouth 20 miles.
Bembridge sits on the most eastern point of the Isle of Wight, and it is claimed to be the biggest village in England. Bembridge used to be an island in its own right, and until the Victorian era, was a collection of wooden huts and farmhouses, hence Bembridge remains somewhat detached from the rest of the island even today, which adds to its charm. Bembridge is considered to be one of the most upmarket areas on the island and offers a surprisingly busy intertidal sheltered harbour, which is always full of pleasure crafts and fishing boats providing a constant flow of traffic to and from The Solent. From the harbour you will find quiet beaches consisting of sand and pebbles, perfect for swimming, beachcombing and crabbing and in high winds you will see plenty of kite surfing activity. As you walk along Bembridge beach, you will discover the lifeboat station, cafes and the famous Crab & Lobster Inn, as well as the magnificent Culver Cliffs as your backdrop. The village centre offers a good range of small shops, with its award-winning butcher's and 'The Best Dressed Crab in Town' which is situated in Bembridge harbour, you can also sample local produce from the greengrocer's, visit the art gallery and much more; in fact everything you should need while holidaying here.
