  • "Your cottage is beautiful and very well stocked with everything you can possibly need for a comfortable stay."

A perfect location for exploring the IOW. Thank you!

  • "Great cottage, spotlessly clean, warm, cosy and well equipped."

Really enjoyed our short stay and would definitely recommend.

  • "We booked a last minute trip to the Isle of Wight in early February, as the weather looked sunny."

The owner, Suzanne, was so accommodating and lovely to deal with. The house is just beautiful, so thoughtfully decorated and a really wonderful use of space. It was a perfect location for us, our two young boys and our dog to explore the beaches from. We were even allowed to check out later on the Sunday as there were no other guests arriving that day. Very thoughtful and really appreciated!

  • "Enjoyed the accommodation."

Particularly liked the nastalgic Ercol furniture, willow pattern crockery and bone handled cutlery. Owners very helpful.

  • "(Sykes Cottages have always been reliable over the years."

We know we're in good hands.) Our vacation at 2 Linden Terrace was both memorable and stress-free. It's rare for an owner of a holiday property to reach out before check-in, to suggest you're welcome to enter your holiday home a little earlier. We were genuinely surprised. And on top of that - the level of text interaction with the owner was pitched just right. This home is so well thought out with small creative details which made our stay more enjoyable. The location is brilliant to get to the beaches and the front garden is also a nice addition. The icing on the cake are the friendly, kind neighbors at No.1. Really special people. I wish we had neighbors like them back home! This location and property is a real find. If you're looking to stay on the Isle Of Wight, I suggest you don't bother researching anywhere else. Just slam your finger onto that book now button!

  • "Little cute cottage in good location, parking right outside but can be tight for a larger car."

Good facilities in cottage, but only one bathroom which can be time consuming when six of you. Nicely decorated and bed linen clean. Only thing to be aware of is stairs to top bedroom are very steep, so careful if young children in them. Kitchen has plenty of crockery and cutlery, with new, clean white goods. So all you need for self catering. Owners very friendly and kept us informed throughout our holiday as far easily contactable if needed.

  • "Fantastic little cottage in a good position to discover the island."

We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend it.

  • "The cottage was really lovely."

We enjoyed our stay enormously. The cottage was home from home with everything you needed. All equipment supplied down to dog snacks and washing tablets! Our first time on the Isle of Wight but plenty of information on where to go and what to see and everywhere just a short drive away. Even with a couple of days of rain we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would pop back during the day to wash the dog and then pop back out again. We're looking forward to returning to the island next time to discover the footpaths and use our bikes. Only downside were the sofas which we found a little uncomfortable but the beds were great.

About the location

BRADING

Sandown 1.7 miles; Ryde 4 miles; Newport 8 miles.

A small historic rural town, steeped in history going back to the Stone Age, Brading is close to many attractions, from the 1900 year old Roman Villa, to the beautiful Nunwell House, which hosted Charles I on his last night of freedom. Around Brading there are 70 footpaths taking in the beauty of the marshlands and its amazing bird life, stretching to the Downs, which lie within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Brading also offers three welcoming pubs which serve food daily, a professional international auction room, with one to two auctions every month, specializing in fine art antiques and modern and vintage wares. Just outside the town you will find Adgestone Vineyard, which is set on the south facing slope overlooked by Brading Down, where it is believed the vines were originally planted by the Romans; its award-winning wine was chosen in 1994 for the dinner for the Queen to celebrate the anniversary of the D-Day Landings. Brading is also perfectly located for many of the Islands beaches, with the sands of Sandown and Yaverland only 1.7 miles away and the rock pools of Bembridge beach 3.5 miles away.
