  • "Fantastic stay at The Coachouse."

Never stayed in such a well equipped place before. Modern, comfortable and clean. Owners are wonderful too and couldn't do enough for us. We will be back.

  • "We’ve enjoyed a relaxing stay, Brighstone is a great village with lots of walks and pub/cafe/shop all available."

The cottage was light, clean, warm and comfortable and provided all that we needed. A very practical cottage for our holiday with our pet. It’s in a quiet area but in walking distance of shop etc and you can park next to the cottage. Comfy bed, powerful shower and modern kitchen. We are looking forward to visiting again soon.

  • "The property was perfect for what we needed."

A 3 night stay with a small child and a dog. It was lovely and well kept. The property owners are very thoughtful and considerate providing cups, plates cutlery for small people.

  • "The property was clean, comfortable, nicely furnished and seemed fairly new."

The owners friendly and helpful. A pair of tongs for cooking would be helpful and maybe bins for the bedrooms, otherwise we had everything we needed. We had a mouse which we were warned might happen being in the countryside. But we were given a humane trap which worked very well. A lovely stay in a lovely part of the island.

  • "Lovely facility."

There were two of us for a four person stay and we thought the lounge area was a bit tight for four people. Other than that, it was good.

  • "We had a lovely stay at The Coach House in August."

The location is ideal for exploring the west of the island. The kitchen was well equipped and the twin room was perfect for young children. We'd agree that the double bed in the main bedroom was very creaky, so it's good that the owners have been looking into getting a new one. The work that is done to look after rescue horses in the stables next door is amazing.

  • "A nice cottage with all the amenities you could want on holiday."

It was generally clean so long as you didn't look under or behind anything where it was very dusty. Our main issue was the double bed which creaked every time we moved. We resorted to putting the mattress on the floor, but even then the mattress seems a bit saggy so it wasn't the most comfortable. The beds in the twin room were very comfortable. If these couple of issues could be resolved I would recommend on every other front.

My cleaner was genuinely upset about finding out there was dust. She has assured me it will not happen again. We are looking into getting a new mattress/bed. Thank you for your feedback as it helps us get things 100% which is what we want! Property Owner

  • "Very unhappy with my stay."

Very dirty when we arrived even though we had to wait ages to go in because of the ‘cleaning’ going on. No hand wash!? Tiny towels that you couldn’t even cover yourself with. Room was very hot and had no fan. Walls so thin you could hear everything next door and when I complained about the cleanliness of the place the owner was not interested and would not compensate me for this. I wouldn’t stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone

This was a last minute booking that we were not expecting and it is a shame that the guest was unhappy about her stay. We have had no other complaints about our cottages so this came as a surprise. Sykes informed me that the guest had complained about an uncomfortable bed and it being hot after her departure. I was at no time told that the cottage was not clean. I checked the cottage myself and was satisfied with the level of cleanliness before the arrival. We live on site and would happily have provided a fan if one had been asked for. As it was the guest did not contact us direct at all but stayed for her booked stay of two nights. Both hand towels and bath towels are provided for each guest so I am surprised the towels were not large enough. If there was no hand wash then this was an oversight which will not be repeated. • "Very very nice place to stay and the hosts were perfect, the coach house is superb."

One problem we had was Sykescottages somehow managed to double book for our first night. The host kindly found a place for us to stay and were very apologetic. A bottle of wine, cheese, bread, butter,2 packets of very nice biscuits we’re waiting for us when we arrived and they paid for the night and we received a refund for the night missed in the coach house.
