Very cosy cottage with all you could want and more excellent hosts very welcoming Cottage would benefit for some sun loungers
Thank you for your lovely review. It was a pleasure meeting you and we are delighted that you had such a lovely holiday. We will look out for some weatherproof sunloungers as there would be nowhere to store them inside. Hope to see you again one day. Property Owner

"We had a fabulous time in the cottage plus a secure garden for our Cockapoo Charlie, we toured most of the island, a short walk or drive to wonderful dog friendly beaches, accommodation was very good, everything you could need and more, plenty of garden furniture for outdoor dining."
.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My only issue…..Some sun loungers would have made it perfect.
"Delightful cottage with lovely sunny and secluded, doggy-safe garden."
A real home from home in which we were made to feel very welcome. Beautiful spot on the island.

"We had a wonderful stay at St."
Michael's house. Sally was very welcoming and generous. The homemade cake was very tasty. We had a very comfortable and cosy stay and all the extras for our dog were a real bonus. We would definitely visit again.
"A wonderful winter break in this cosy cottage."
Our hosts were welcoming and generous. The cottage is ideally placed for exploring, with many beautiful walks on your doorstep. Walking distance to post office, pub and an amazing antiquarian bookshop. The surrounding coast and countryside is impossibly pretty and the night skies literally sparkle. We’ve had a lovely winter break and would highly recommend.
We are so pleased that you had such a good time and look forward to meeting you again. Property Owner
"Just got home from a wonderful week at St Micheal's House."
Honestly cannot fault it at all. Sally was there to welcome us when we arrived and gave us a quick tour of the cottage and told us some history of the property. She had even baked us a cake and put a pint of milk in the fridge so we could have a cup of tea whilst we settled in. All bed linen, towels, etc were included. Also little things like hairdryers, soap, and washing up liquid which most places always overlook. The house was lovely and clean and very cosy. The garden is a great size if you have inquisitive dogs and/or children. Very pet-friendly. Dog beds, towels, blankets, water bowls, and treats were all provided which was a nice touch. I managed to break my ankle on the first day of the holiday by falling down a pothole on the causeway. Sally was lovely and offered us aids such as a wheelchair, shower seat, and bath seat in order to make our stay more comfortable. She also gave us some ideas of places to visit which were accessible. I honestly cannot think of a single bad thing to say about the whole week. Even the weather was good for Halloween/Bonfire Night week. Lovely host and lovely accommodation. We ventured out to Appley park which is a must-do for anyone who wants a walk along the coast and also through woodland etc. And also the walk that Sally recommends when you check-in (Just watch out for potholes ;) ). Also busy bees garden centre is right opposite the big Tesco and a must-do. Especially if you visit when their Christmas shop is there. It is a beautiful place to go and visit. We will definitely be coming back next year once we have booked annual leave. Thank you so much!!! <3 x
"Had a great stay with our grandchildren, nice place for hub to explore the island, and very friendly people in the village, we would love to stay again."
Absolutely perfect for our week on the Isle of Wight. Cottage was in a really quiet location & had everything you would need for a week away self catering. Thank you Sally for allowing us to stay at St Michaels House
"The owner is very friendly and helpful."
She goes the extra mile. Sykes are expensive tho. The place is very good if you have a dog. The beds are comfortable. The owner Sally cooked me some biscuits which were lovely
"Great host and perfect location"
"Smaller than expected from photo but loved the cosy homely feel."
Two minutes from dog friendly beach and an ideal situation for visiting all the island has to offer. Would definitely recommend.
"Fantastic holiday in the Isle of Wight & the accommodation was faultless."
We will definitely be returning
"Beautiful cottage, very well equipped, clean and comfortable."
Quiet location but very access to other parts of the island and local area. My family and I had a great holiday and it was lovely to 'come home' each night.
"Lovely house sally was there to welcome us."
The house was lovely and clean safe garden for the dogs. Comfy beds in fact excellent all round.
"A very well appointed extremely clean property with a well maintained enclosed garden."
"We could not fault our stay at St Michael's House, from the warm welcome and delicious lemon drizzle cake to the extremely well-quipped accommodation."
All was beyond our expectations.
"Sally is a brilliant hostess and we have never been to a place better prepared for dogs."
The garden is secure, there are dog bowls and treats, it all works. And the kitchen has all the gadgets you might ever hope to see and then some. Beds comfortable, everything sparkling. Easy to get to once you spot the little road. And never have I heard so many birds. The woodpecker was clearly practising to compete with Liam Gallagher, Philip the Pheasant was on fine form though we didn’t see Philippa. The Best Dressed Crab just down the road gave us outstanding sea food, crab baguettes and lobster salad. Lily’s in Seaview dud us proud for Monday pre ferry brunch. And St Helen’s is v convenient for everywhere we wanted to be. Almost certainly going back, if Sally will have us.
"Was a lovely place very comfortable sally was lovely."
"This is a good holiday let which is well equipped and very comfortable."
The garden is lovely and ideal for dog owners. I must admit that I had a very lazy week and look forward to going again. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Sally is a nice lady that genuinely cares to provide a good service. The location is ideal for a lovely holiday with Bembridge coop, boots, butchers, bakers, fish and chips and pubs nearby.St. Helens has a small general store which carries all essentials. I will be back.
"We had a lovely week in the Isle of Wight."
Great family cottage, a really warm welcome from the owner Sally, who had baked us a cake. Dog-friendly home and good recommendations of beaches for dog walks. We were blessed with glorious weather.
"We were especially impressed with our welcome and the helpfulness of the owner throughout."
St.Michael's House makes a wonderful quiet retreat and and St. Helen's is a fine locality with good basic amenities. The property also makes a great base for exploring the rest of the Isle of Wight.
"St Michael's house was absolutely perfect for our stay."
Sally and Anthony were so welcoming and helpful, and the cottage itself was so comfortable, homely and well equipped. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog, who made it his own immediately. Fantastic barbecue and all the tools you could need. Thank you also for the delicious cake Sally! St Helen's is a lovely little village, our youngest enjoyed the park on the green, and we all enjoyed a walk to the Duver and St Helen's beach via the causeway - especially when the tide was in! We love the Isle of Wight and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property.
"The cottage is so lovely and cozy, made even more perfect as it was all decorated for our Christmas stay, and as before a beautifully made cake awaiting us with milk, tea and coffee to refresh us after our long journey."
With treats, dog beds and towels for the dogs too.
"Sally was a very attentive host, she made the effort to come & meet us even though she was busy the weekend we stayed The house is perfect for dogs & families."
Comfortable & cosy. Ideally located for walks & a shop at the top of the road. Would highly recommend.
"The cottage was perfect for our dog friendly stay, the enclosed garden was tidy with a lovely patio, tables, chairs and brand new BBQ."
The accommodation was clean and everything was brand new from pots and pans to linen and towels. The Cottage is very cosy and the gas fire in the lounge (looks like a coal fire) was great to pop on after some great walks with the dog in Bembridge and surrounding coastal areas. The Owners Sally and Anthony kindly met us on arrival and gave us a guided tour of the property, they also pointed out some wonderful walks all of which were possible from the house, this meant no need for four wheels. Also local advice about lure fishing off the rocks past the Bembridge Lifeboat station at low tide, right behind the large hotel i managed a nice plump Bass!!!!!!!!!!! We loved our stay here and will be back as it was our first time on the isle of wight, I think we struck gold and even though we fully explored the whole island we fell in love with Bembridge, from the lovely seafood at both the floating seafood cafe restaurant (no dogs inside but allowed on the deck) in the harbour, and the Baywatch Cafe which was dog friendly inside and out. I highly recommend the Crab Thermidor.

Located with the old English village of St Helens is this punchy pink property; St Michael’s House, a wonderful detached property ideal for families or a group of friends looking for a tranquil treat on the Isle of Wight, you can even bring the dog along for a coastal adventure!.
The house features a lovely large sitting area,... The house features a lovely large sitting area, fit with a gas fire that looks like a woodburner, it adds to the quirky character that runs throughout the property, with ample seating and large bay windows overlooking the back garden, it’s the perfect place to watch woodland nature no matter the time of year.
Head up the staircase within the sitting area and into the three bedrooms; a double, a twin and a single, all providing ample wardrobe space, so you can be prepared for all of the indecisive weather choices of the Isle of Wight.
In the mornings, be sure to head to the kitchen to prepare a wonderful breakfast to keep you going through your day of exploration, in the summer months head to the back garden with your coffee and sit amongst the beautiful flower beds while the dog gets his morning exercise.
St Helens is a lovely residential area, scattered with places to eat and extremely close to the coast, take a walk across the beachfront before heading to the Hungry Bear for a bite to eat.
If you’re after coastal cuisine, we recommend The Best Dressed Crab, right on the seafront, it offers wonderful seafood for you to take away whilst you explore your surroundings.
To get a closer experience of the seas, be sure to head to Bembridge Marine or Harbour Office, where you can hire boats to take to sea, or for the more advanced water lover, check out the yacht and sailing clubs.
Shanklin Chine is a must see whilst in the area, just a short drive away, this wonderful tourist attraction offers glorious waterfalls, walkways, and a heritage centre where you can find out about the history of the area.
About the location
Bembridge 2 miles; Ryde 5 miles.
The village of St Helens lies in a coastal position on high ground, on the eastern side of the Isle of Wight, between Bembridge and Seaview. St Helens is a traditional English village, with the village green at the centre of village life, providing cricket and football pitches, a children’s playground and superb views right across Bembridge Harbour and Culver Down. The village also offers superb restaurants, pub, newsagent, Post Office and grocery store. A short walk takes you to The Duver, an NT area of shingle and sand, and once the site of a Royal links golf course. The beach here is very family friendly, with sand and shingle, perfect for making sandcastles and collecting seashells as well as crabbing off the Bembridge Harbour Causeway. There is the popular Baywatch Café, with all the amenities you need for the perfect day at the beach, and stunning views of the Solent and St Helens Fort. The fort was built to protect Portsmouth from a French invasion between 1867 and 1880, and at the lowest tide of the summer, there is a mass walk of up to 2000 people from the beach out to the fort and back again, with driftwood fires and barbecues.
