"A very comfortable, spacious and well-equipped flat in a good location."
Good clear communication from both Sykes and the owner. Very good response from the owner to a couple of very minor problems - both resolved rapidly.
"The property is absolutely gorgeous."
It's so spacious and well equipped. It's location is ideal for exploring locally or exploring the wider island. The are good local amenities and restaurants within walking distance. We would not hesitate to return or to recommend it to others.
"The apartment was very spacious and comfortable."
My only concern was the positioning of the TV. I do not like TVs high on the wall. To watch the TV I needed to lift my chin which gave me a crick in the neck. I like to knit whilst watching TV which was very difficult when you have to keep lifting the head to see the TV. Otherwise we were very happy with the apartment and where it was positioned on the island.
"Well equipped very comfortable accommodation."
Very roomy for the 2 of us but 4 people would be ok too. Nice touches, quiet and relaxing after a day's outing. Great cafe in village for breakfast. Would return in future.
"Lovely quiet place where you can just chill."
Shops a little walk away and beach virtually on your doorstep. Overall a great place to visit!
"We had a wonderful stay here."
The accommodation was excellent, good communication from owner, well equipped, clean and a good location for our walking holiday. We could not fault it and will certainly book again for next year.
"Excellent accommodation in peaceful surroundings couldn’t fault it."
Would visit again.
"Well-equipped, clean and comfortable."
With a nice selection of books.
"Lovely accommodation in an ideal spot to visit the beach, just a very short walk away."
Everything that we could possibly need was supplied for us, including a brand new tower fan, many thanks for that. Only niggle was a very nice coffee machine was available, but no instructions were supplied. Not a massive problem, just a suggestion to provide instructions for use. This was our second stay and it won't be our last.
Very spacious and comfy beds and sofa. Always hot water for a shower. It was great to find all the board games and books, we enjoyed them very much. Really good location, a short walk to the beach and shop. Brilliant places to eat in the village too. Had an amazing curry at Ye old village inn and enjoyed the Quiz in the Propeller on Thursday night! A great place for a relaxing week away.
"All issues were dealt with promptly."
Lovely place to stay and so near the beach.
"A spacious, clean and comfortable and well-equipped property."
It really lacked for nothing. It really did exceed our expectations - the photos really don't do it justice! It was an ideal base for our holiday on the IOW in a peaceful location just minutes from the beach.
"Cheryl and I thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay at 4 Nab House."
We toured around, visiting quite a few place and getting together with friends. We enjoyed our stay so much we've already booked another two weeks in May/June next year!
"Cosy, well equipped and homely place to stay."
Everything you need was provided. Very comfortable beds. Only noise was birdsongs. Bembridge is a great village as a base on the island. Recommend a visit to The Best Dressed Crab. And a trip to Havenstreet for the steam trains.
"An excellent clean, comfortable and very attractive apartment in a lovely quiet location."
The property was extremely well equipped.
"Really well equipped,warm and comfortable."
Everything we needed for our stay was there.
"We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay."
We have stayed before in September 2020 and we’re looking forward to Christmas 2020, which sadly didn’t happen. Christmas 2021 certainly made up for it! Thank You.
"Lovely holiday apartment but you can clearly hear the upstairs neighbours when in the second bedroom."
Not good if they are up late and you want an early night.
"Lovely well equipped apartment in a quiet location with local shops a few mins walk away, and lots of paths and bridle ways to explore ."
Kitchen well equipped , even for those who want to do some proper cooking. Spotlessly clean and tidy with comfortable beds and sofas. Outdoor lawn with table and chairs to enjoy a peaceful sit down after long day sightseeing. Ideal location for exploring Bembridge and the rest of the island. Would definitely stay again if returning to the IOW
"Fantastic base for the isle of wight."
Everywhere in easy reach. Kitchen well equipped, whole place fabulous. No complaints at all, would hope to stay again in future
"Spacious apartment with stylish and comfortable accommodation."
Great to have use of the private garden and the setting was lovely. The shops, restaurants and bars in Bembridge are just a short walk away. Great base and easy to explore the rest of the island.
"Excellent flat, incredibly well supplied with everything you could need."
Unfortunately we found the upstairs neighbours very disruptive (they seemed to enjoy a 1am stroll around the apartment every night), and were disappointed in the beach - the "wonderful sands" are at least a 20minute walk from the house, the immediate beach is purely rock pools. However, we did have a lovely holiday despite having to drive more frequently than we were hoping to.
"The apartment was great , very well located , lovely decor and super clean unfortunately the noise from the neighbours was very disruptive to our rest."
the apartments all suffered due to a poor building conversion.
"A great flat and accommodation for a week's break, well equipped and clean."
Ideal location and near to the sea. Only draw back was that with any flat, you can hear your neighbours.
"The Nab house was in a great location , a couple of minutes walk to the beach and 20 minutes Easy safe pavement walk to the village ."
The village has everything you need - local shops Of butcher , Baker , fishmonger and organic fruit shop and great places to eat too . We went to Fox’s , No 8 cafe , Angel in the kitchen , the bakery coffee shop , the Propellor Inn and the Duver Cafe , all are great local Business offering excellent food . The flat was extremely clean with extra precautions for Covid . It is very well equipped ( we made pizza when we were there and the kitchen even had a rolling pin and weighing scales !) and it’s an excellent layout for sharing family time together as the living accommodation is one large open plan room . We were also blessed with great weather so we were able to sit in the sun in the garden and we were able to maximise walking and exploring the coastline which was lovely . The owner was friendly and helpful , we had a great time and are highly likely to return
"The property was excellent, as was the location."
Communication with the owner was also excellent.
"This flat was to a very high standard, which was amongst other flats in the house ."
We did not hear noise from any of the other uses . The situation was excellent for walks along the bembrigde beach .
"Stunning apartment that has everything you could possibly want and more."
Location is fantastic, just a couple of minutes from the beach and there are glimpses of the sea from the main bedroom. The owner was extremely helpful during our stay.
"The apartment was spacious and light."
It was extremely well-equipped and walking distance to a convenience store and lovely pub. There is also a regular bus service to other parts of the island. Bembridge is a lovely part of the island and we would definitely go back there again
"Wonderful accommodation - it had everything you could need."
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
"Beautiful property, spacious, clean and comfortable, with everything required to make it a home away from home!"
"4 The Nab House is possibly the nicest and best equipped flat we have stayed in."
The flat is light and decorated really well. We were really impressed with the size of the property and it’s location. The proximity to the beach and the village is great. We have already looked to rebooking for next summer but are disappointed that it’s been booked for the dates we wish to go back.
"4The Nab House was absolutely perfect in every way."
Great location and very well equipped
"The Nab House is one of the best accommodations we have stayed in, thoroughly enjoyed our stay"
"4 The Nab House is very comfortable and homely."
It is airy and spacious, well equipped and just a few minutes walk to the beach. It is also within walking distance of shops and a bus stop, making it an ideal location for getting about without a car. We would be very happy to book again and highly recommend it.
"Wow! What a gorgeous, well equipped and thought out apartment in a fantastic idyllic location."
This trip was over the May bank holiday at the beginning of the month and although the weather was far from hot it was dry and sunny throughout our stay. Our party consisted of myself, my two young daughters (4 & 1) and my Mother. I happened to also celebrate a birthday whilst staying here. The décor in this apartment is fabulous, homely and welcoming. The beds are super comfy and spacious. Parking is ample and convenient. We did a lot of driving to and from different areas of the island over our stay so didn't really get to spend much time exploring Bembridge, but what we saw of it looked lovely. The nearby beach (very close walking distance) by the Lifeboat station was great for rock pooling when the tide was out. My Mother used to holiday on the IOW when younger and spent her honeymoon there so this apartment was a great base to explore the Island and reminisce about times gone by. We would definitely recommend and if ever back on the Island we would definitely stay here again. Big thank you to the host for all the little personal touches upon arrival too (i.e. milk in fridge, tea bags, biscuits). It made our stay even sweeter and was greatly appreciated.
"Number 4 Theb Nab house is a very comfortable 2 bedroom appartment ."
The location in Bembridge is perfect, very quiet area but within easy short drive to Ryde,Sandown or Shanklin resorts, or a walk into Bembridge harbour area via the small high street area.I would reccomend this property very highly.
"Fantastic break in a lovely apartment."
"The flat was very comfortable and extremely well equipped."
A true "home from home".
"The owner was very flexible about arrival and departure times, which was much appreciated."
She also left a selection of seasonal goodies and milk and there was plenty of tea/coffee, toilet rolls, soap and so on, which you wouldn't normally expect in a self catering property. All decorated & furnished to a high standard and accurately described on the website.
"Really enjoyed our stay last week."
We stayed in flat 4- Wow, beautifully decorated, comfortable and had everything we needed and more, the flat was spotless. Location was perfect - beach just a few minutes walk and yet a very peaceful spot. Very happy and would strongly recommend. *****
"4 The Nab House is a lovely place to stay while visiting the Isle of Wight."
It’s location along a quiet lane 1 row back from the sea is perfect for a stroll along the beach, popping to the local shop and a great base to explore the island from your car. The property itself has that lovely home from home feel. It’s extremely comfortable, clean, safe, has everything you need and more. The furnishings are very tasteful. Bedding and towels lovely and soft. Just really really nice. Would love to stay here again sometime and wish I could pick it up and put it in every place we visit. Family of 4.
"We were delighted to find that our holiday flat, in a lovely old house, was only a 5 minute walk from the beach and we could see the sea from our bedroom window."
The Bembridge Lifeboat Station and the RNLI shop were on our doorstep and we were lucky enough to watch a practice launch of both the inshore inflatable and the large lifeboat which was very exciting! Bembridge also surprised us by having all sorts of quaint shops and a cafe serving delicious homemade cakes. Also, a stroll along the beach revealed the Beach Hut Cafe literally on the shore where we enjoyed a glass of wine and another lovely desert. To reach our holiday home, the ferry crossings were another fun part of our holiday.
"Ideal location for touring the Isle of Wight would recommend this apartment and location a great holiday"
"Lovely location, great value for money and the house had everything we needed and more!"
"Without doubt one of the nicest rental properties we've ever had the pleasure to stay in."
The owner has thought of everything with lots of lovely finishing touches - Easter treats for the kids, a welcome chocolate cake, huge fluffy towels, dressing gowns and slippers, coffee sachets, ample toilet rolls, soap, coffee pods and sachets. The apartment is perfectly laid out for a sociable family holiday with a large open plan kitchen, diner and lounge. The large dining table was the perfect hub for family games and meals over the wet weekend. The location of the apartment is also perfect. Within walking distance of the beach, the lifeboat station, Co-op and local pubs. As a busy working mum with two young boys, I've never been a big fan of self catering holidays, but 4 Nab House has convinced me that self catering holidays can be relaxing and indulgent. Within a few hours of arriving I was online checking availability for the apartment over the summer holidays! Highly recommended.
"THE NABS HOUSE IS A GREAT PLACE TO USE AS A BASE FOR THE ISLE WIGHT AND FOR ..."
THE NABS HOUSE IS A GREAT PLACE TO USE AS A BASE FOR THE ISLE WIGHT AND FOR PORTSMOUTH MUSEUMS MY WIFE AND I AND OUR FRIENDS WERE VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE PROPERTY WE THINK THAT JUSTINE THE OWNER IS A GREAT AMBASSADOR AND SETS GREAT EXAMPLE FOR SYKES THANK YOU JUSTINE FOR A GREAT OUT OF SEASON BREAK ROBERT FROM CORNWALL
"We have stayed in many holiday properties over the years and it is fair to say that this one was by far and away the best ever."
It is almost impossible to know where to start,,,, So much care and thought had been put in to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Silly little things such as many extra toilet rolls, extra hand wash and large fluffy towels. Big differences such as a beautiful welcome pack, a really well equipped utility cupboard, high end kitchen appliances and to cap it all, a Smart TV, all made such a difference to how we felt about the accommodation. The comfortable mattresses, beautiful bed linen, and sumptuous sofas, a large kitchen table with enough glasses, plates etc to be able to entertain if desired, all made us feel that Justine actually cared about her guests and wanted them to enjoy their stay and want for nothing. The accommodation was extremely tastefully decorated and altogether perfect. Other property owners could learn a lot from Justine. I would like to say to all other owners, to think about doing the same. When owners leave only one partly used toilet roll, a sliver of hand soap, minimum equipment, cheap kitchen equipment and cheap beds and bedding, and worst of all, .... Freeview TV, (aarrgghh!!) it immediately makes the guest feel that profit is their sole value. Of course you have to make a profit, but you also have to show that the care of your guests is important and these things make a huge difference. Justine has got this all right and we thank her for it all. We had a truly wonderful stay. We would like to also thank Sykes. You were a great and so easy to use. Lovely web site and excellent customer care. I would however ask you to encourage all your owners to follow Justine and to show that they really care about the comfort of their guests. Abandon the awful cheap Freeview TVs, and spend a little extra on a Smart TV. It makes a huge difference! Annette & Robert Culshaw
Very cosy and spacious. Everything you need and more ! The location is fantastic. Would not hesitate to recommend .
"Stunning apartment, it's clear great care and thought was taken in its refurbishment!"
A real treat to stay here. We're a family of four, our children aged 4 and 7. I loved the interior design and lovely bedding/soft towels, and they loved that there was space to play, a big TV with Netflix and a box of chocolate biscuits waiting for them! Fantastic location two minutes walk from the sea front for coastal walks. The owner Justine was very helpful and welcoming! Thanks for a great holiday.

About the location
Ryde 7 miles; Newport 11 miles; Cowes 16 miles; Yarmouth 20 miles.
Bembridge sits on the most eastern point of the Isle of Wight, and it is claimed to be the biggest village in England. Bembridge used to be an island in its own right, and until the Victorian era, was a collection of wooden huts and farmhouses, hence Bembridge remains somewhat detached from the rest of the island even today, which adds to its charm. Bembridge is considered to be one of the most upmarket areas on the island and offers a surprisingly busy intertidal sheltered harbour, which is always full of pleasure crafts and fishing boats providing a constant flow of traffic to and from The Solent. From the harbour you will find quiet beaches consisting of sand and pebbles, perfect for swimming, beachcombing and crabbing and in high winds you will see plenty of kite surfing activity. As you walk along Bembridge beach, you will discover the lifeboat station, cafes and the famous Crab & Lobster Inn, as well as the magnificent Culver Cliffs as your backdrop. The village centre offers a good range of small shops, with its award-winning butcher's and 'The Best Dressed Crab in Town' which is situated in Bembridge harbour, you can also sample local produce from the greengrocer's, visit the art gallery and much more; in fact everything you should need while holidaying here.
