Immaculatly clean and tidy and on arrival we were shown around by the owner which was a nice personal touch. We absolutely loved staying at Parlour cottage, it is on a farm at the end of a dead end lane, the peace and quiet and surrounding countryside was so peaceful. The only sounds we heard were the singing of the birds and calls of the wildlife. Would definitely recommend Parlour cottage for a great get away.

The owner was on hand but not at all intrusive. We enjoyed a lovely week exploring the island and spend the evenings making the most of the footpaths on the doorstep of the farm. Very secluded and peaceful village but within easy reach by car for the rest of the island. Would highly recommend.

With many lovely walks , & plenty of things to do. The cottage was excellent , very comfortable a lovely position easy to reach all areas. Although we did get lost a couple of times ,it meant we found some lovely thatched villages & places to eat. We were impressed with the tidyness of the whole island, but found seaside towns a little tired.

  • "The holiday cottage was perfect."

We managed to have a short walk every evening to see the surrounding views. The cottage is situated in the middle of isle of weight meaning it wasn't far to travel to all of the great attractions on the island. Would most certainly return to the island and this wonderful cottage.

  • "The only thing we were not satisfied with was the fact that Sykes charged us a booking fee twice when we booked the cottage for 2 weeks."

We do not agree with this policy. We challenged this when we booked and explained that we use Sykes a lot but were still told we had to pay a double booking fee. In the past we have booked with other companies for 2 weeks and only had to pay 1 booking fee. When you book for 2 weeks it is only 1 transaction so why should you have to pay twice? The cottage itself exceeded expectations. It was spacious, clean and well-equipped. The views were lovely and the whole complex well-maintained. Steve Harvey was there to meet us and explained everything when we arrived and also spoke to us before we left. The central situation of the cottage was an added bonus as it was never very far to anywhere we wanted to visit. The weather also contributed to the success of the holiday - only 1 wet day in two weeks. We would certainly return to the cottage again.

  • "An absolutely brilliant cottage, although its more like a bungalow."

ideally situated centrally on the island about five minutes from Newport. Travelling to all the major coastal towns is so easy from here and only 20 minutes from the Cowes ferry terminal. The wildlife around us was fantastic and we had a great time just watching the red squirrels, pheasants and foxes running around and the buzzards flying overhead. The cottage is well appointed, very clean and well maintained. It has almost everything you could need, the only extra in the kitchen, would be a dishwasher as it has sleeping for six it would be a great addition. All in all a fantastic holiday.

  • "Cottage is in the centre of the island in a very rural position."

It was very quiet and peaceful with a lovely outside area where you can sit and have meals and soak up the sun. It was very clean and had plenty of room, there was even a choice of books if you ran out of something to read. This was our first visit to the island and will certainly be back and will book early to make sure we can book this cottage. Mr Harvey was very friendly and was readily available if anything was needed. Sighs all round when we left!!!
