We liked the safe and well kept site and the children made use of the play area. The location was brilliant for the Lymington ferry crossing too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

  • "5 nights spent in this lovely property, very clean , tidy , and well equipped , very peaceful area ."

The only thing I would say for my disabled father is if you are unable to stand from wheelchair in the shower room with WC has no rail by toilet . Which my father had real problems with transferring of and on to toilet . I understand that the walls would not support a rail . A floor based bar would be perfect . Just a suggestion as this property is listed as mobility friendly. Other than that beautiful place Pat Matthews x

Dear Pat, thank you for your feedback which is always appreciated. We will look into your suggestion of a further rail by the toilet to help with access. Property Owner

By providing a shower stool and kitchen stool. A lovely clean, spacious bungalow. If we have anything to add it's that lounge beds would have made our stay perfect

Thank you Julia for your feedback, we do all we can to accommodate our guests needs and are glad that you enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately we do not have the space for 4 lounge beds. Property Owner

Enjoying an open-plan living space to socialise with your guests and a front patio to dine alfresco in the warmer months, this accessible property is ideal for both families and friends.

On arrival, be greeted by an off-road parking space to the rear of the property before taking a short stroll to your holiday home.

Entering the property, you will find the open-plan living space, with a corner sofa to unwind on as the TV plays your favourite shows.

Step over to the contemporary kitchen area to make yourself a cup of tea and when stomachs start to tumble, take advantage of the electric oven and gas hob.

As day draws to night, retire indoors and choose between two bedrooms, including a king-size and a twin bedroom, both with bedside lamps for a nighttime read.

Awaken with a hot soak in the bathroom's spacious walk-in shower before enjoying a home-cooked breakfast and steaming cup of coffee, courtesy of the kitchen appliances.

Younger ones can have some fun on the large playground or a short stroll will lead you to The Isle of Wight Reptilarium so you can marvel at some fascinating creatures and if that's not for you, maybe explore the rich woodland of Fort Victoria Country Park where you can enjoy a picnic in a scenic spot.

About the location

YARMOUTH

Newport 12 miles; Ryde 18 miles.

The attractive seaside town of Yarmouth is the oldest town on the Isle of Wight, and its busy harbour is a haven for all kinds of watercraft, with the terminal used for regular mainland ferry crossings to Lymington. Yarmouth’s narrow streets are home to an attractive array of shops and inns, whilst a visit to Henry VIII’s castle is not to be missed. There's great cycling (and a cycle hire shop) and walking to be had along the coastal path. Why not take an energetic stroll at the nearby Tennyson Down and Headon Warren. Sandhard beach is 15 minutes' walk away, with Colwell Bay with its sandy beach and amenities for the family 7 minutes away by car. Yarmouth's pier and sailing club jetty is another good spot for crabbing. Four miles away is Compton Bay, famous for dinosaur remains; head there at low tide and see if you can find the two enormous three-toed feet. West Wight is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Yarmouth is an ideal base from which to explore this wonderful island.
