  • "Great little place, quirky and cute."

Well appointed with everything you needed and more! It was an absolute treat to go off to bed in the shepherd's hut. Super comfy bed and again beautifully decorated. Loved the games and enjoyed some colouring too! Great location for easy access for visiting all the sights. Gorgeous energy, sure we will be back.

Thank you so much for wonderful feedback !! You will be very welcome to return !! Property Owner

  • "What an absolute joy it was to open the door to little Worsley and see the sparkling interior and the colourful, obviously very carefully selected items that made it a welcoming abode."

It’s position in Wroxall made it so convenient for my time spent at the Donkey sanctuary which is within walking distance and on the Number 3 buss route. Between “Appuldurcombe” and “cooks castle” stops. It is just a short walk to worsley drive, handy if you do not bring your car. The icing on the cake was the Shepherd’s Hut. So lovely and such scrumptious bedding, it was a real pleasure and experience to retire to the hut each evening. One of my life long ambitions to stay in a shepherds hut! I hope to return one day. Everything you could ever want was supplied by Jane and Brian. Thank you so much and for our enjoyable conversations.

  • "Very happy indeed with our stay at the shepherd's hut and annex."

A lot of effort had been made to make us feel welcome. All the Christmas touches were especially appreciated. Great WiFi, smart tv and 2 digital radios, along with plenty of heating and an extremely comfortable bed, made our stay a pleasure from beginning to end. Highly recommended.

We are so happy you both enjoyed your stay over the Christmas period …. Our aim is to give our guests the best experience possible. Thank you for looking after the hut and annexe so well … top guests ! Property Owner

  • "The accommodation was very warm and cosy."

We found the space too small two adults. The level of cleanliness was extremely good. The hob took ages to heat up it then retained heat so it could cook food turned off. Bed reasonably comfortable as were the armchairs which were recliners. The TV on the wall isn't something we like as we both have arthritis in our necks. The listing was inaccurate and the accommodation had been changed around since we booked in May, had we have known we would have cancelled. Sykes should have updated us of this. The last time I checked, 6th October the listing was still saying the shepherd's hut was the lounge. It didn't totally spoil our holiday but it was listed as all on one level not the fact that there are four steps up into the shepherd's hut where the bedroom is now located, not good when you need the loo at 3am.

We are sorry that Sykes did not update you on the change around of the accommodation following your booking and we understand a shepherds hut is not for everyone. Lots of our guests have loved the whole shepherds hut experience. We do provide dressing gown’s (umbrellas in both the hut and the annexe in case it rains !) and there is outside lighting on the hut and the annexe which is only a few steps way. Our absolute aim is to give all our guests the best holiday experience possible in our quirky well equipped accommodation. It was lovely meeting you both and we hope you enjoy the complementary bubbly on your upcoming wedding anniversary Property Owner

  • "We received a very warm welcome from the owner who was very approachable and easy to communicate with."

A glitch with the heating was swiftly dealt with and we appreciated the unexpected complimentary wine. The facilities were well thought out and beautifully presented. Touches like the “hug” cushions were genius for sitting up comfortably in bed watching TV. My only problem was that the blinds didn’t block out enough light for me and, more importantly made privacy not quite complete. This could be resolved by changing to curtains or having a full length curtain wall to wall that could block off the front door and windows and also add to the coziness. If that was resolved I would definitely come back.

We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay! We now have the shepherds hut in situ in addition to Worsley Annexe so if you do stay with us again you will have additional space. Thank you for the feedback regarding the blinds, we have taken your advice and wall to wall curtains are now in place in addition to the blinds ! Property Owner
