    Had a really lovely week at St Davids, easy walking to Yarmouth and beyond. We were a party of 5 so lots of room for us. The house is lovely and warm even in the snow.

The property

A spacious, detached coastal family home with a nautical, contemporary feel, which overlooks the picturesque Solent.

The home was fully refurbished in February 2016.

Set just an easy walk into the heart of the historic harbour town of Yarmouth, on the west coast of the Isle of Wight, this is an ideal base for a fun-filled, break away.

The ground floor has two large bedrooms with partial sea views.

Both bedrooms have zip/link super king-size beds that can be twin beds by arrangement.

A luxury tiled shower room is situated next to the bedrooms and includes a shower enclosure with rainshower head and handset, a heated towel rail, sink, modern LED mirror and WC.

Just beyond is a dining area and fitted kitchen with range cooker for enjoyable entertaining.

In addition, a Smart TV is positioned on the wall, to make this a truly versatile space for entertaining children and adults alike.

The side door from the kitchen leads you into the south facing conservatory and a half bathroom with laundry facilities.

Beyond the conservatory is a south facing patio and English garden, perfect for alfresco dining or sunbathing.

The sitting room is on the top floor and has a real wow factor of having a large panoramic window, taking in some of the best Solent views and yachting activity.

Alternatively sit back, relax and stream the latest program or movie from the 4K Smart TV.

Along the landing is a further bathroom and three more bedrooms, each separated between the sitting room or bathroom for added privacy.

The master bedroom has a full sea view, sink and vanity unit, in addition to a super-king size zip/link bed.

A second bedroom with a king-size bed and sink and vanity unit and a third bedroom arranged as twin beds.

The main family bathroom has a bath, shower over, heated towel rail and a modern LED mirror, adding a further spot of luxury.

The house is a ten minute walk along the stunning sea front into the town centre of Yarmouth, with its harbour, wonderful boutique shops, and many fantastic pubs and restaurants.

The walkway down to the seafront is in front of the house.

For the slightly more adventurous, the old railway line track is just two minutes’ walk up the road, which will take you to the River Yar and then on to Freshwater.

It is a stunning walk with vivid wildlife scenery and well worth exploring.

The house is also well positioned to explore the island by car or by bus (bus stops within a minute walk of the house), and it is only a fifteen minute drive to the south of the island to explore Freshwater and beyond.

This is a wonderful home to escape to, in a great location, with stunning sea views.

Newport 12 miles; Ryde 18 miles.

The attractive seaside town of Yarmouth is the oldest town on the Isle of Wight, and its busy harbour is a haven for all kinds of watercraft, with the terminal used for regular mainland ferry crossings to Lymington. Yarmouth’s narrow streets are home to an attractive array of shops and inns, whilst a visit to Henry VIII’s castle is not to be missed. There's great cycling (and a cycle hire shop) and walking to be had along the coastal path, or why not take an energetic stroll across to the nearby Tennyson Down via the Red Lion Inn next to Freshwater's Norman Church of All Saints? Sandhard beach is 15 minutes' walk away, and is ideal for swimming and crabbing from the jetty. Yarmouth's historic water mill is another good spot for crabbing. Four miles away is Compton Bay, famous for dinosaur remains; head there at low tide and see if you can find the two enormous three-toed feet. West Wight is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Yarmouth is an ideal base from which to explore this wonderful island.
