Beautifully decorated with lots of artwork. Incredibly well equipped kitchen, and plenty of games and toys, perfect for our family group of 5 adults and 3 young children.

Thanks Andrew for your very positive feedback. We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay with your family and we will welcome your return at anytime in the future. Property Owner

  • "Property as described and shown in the photos."

Good location, short walk to beach via car park or High Street. Lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Beds and sofas were comfy and as a party of 6 adults we liked the 3 bathrooms plus another toilet near the lounge. Very well equipped, towels and bedding were good quality and no problem parking 2 large cars. Overall we were very happy with the property and would stay there again.

  • "The location of the house was excellent, lots of space for everyone."

Quiet surroundings, many things within walking distance. Broadstairs is a very beautiful place. Unfortunately the house was not as clean as we had hoped. Especially in the bathrooms the tiles were full of water splashes and the floors were not completely clean either. The shower heads were extremely calcified, which was a shame. The fittings in the kitchen were also not ideal. In general, the house was a bit "chaotic" (order in the cupboards). We only want to share this as a suggestion, we liked it anyway.

Thank you for the feedback We will rectify the issues you raised and hope that they did not interfere too much with your holiday/break. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay in this excellent property."

We would certainly book again but there were a few issues: 1. The decking was damaged, making it a little dangerous for children. 2. The bbq was not usable - it was so dirty that simply not fit for purpose. 3. The TV worked but was not connected properly - the freeview and normal TV channels were not available. The owners, however, were extremely friendly and helpful, particularly with returning a mobile my daughter left behind.

The house was extremely well equipped, probably the best we’ve ever had. It was tastefully decorated and comfortable. The patio and garden were an added bonus. We managed to park 3 cars too.

  • "A spacious and comfortable house in just the right location!"

Four of us (adults) stayed for nine nights - we particularly enjoyed the airy and sunny lounge with two large sofas and two arms chairs; decent bedrooms, two with en-suite; well designed kitchen with everything to hand. We found great walks directly from the house and many more a short drive away. The owners of the house were very helpful when we contacted them with a query. We recommend a stay at Kinsale!

  • "Lovely, modern townhouse on 4 floors, beautifully furnished and really well equipped with everything you can think of, including books, toys and games, buckets and spades, washing up things, tea and coffee sachets, salt and pepper, cafetieres, cookery books etc."

There is a Co op a couple of minutes' walk away and other shops and restaurants further down the street. The back way down to the sea front with its sandy beaches takes about 5 minutes. Would highly recommend a stay here.

  • "The setters were a bit dirty."

    They needed a clean.

We were disappointed on your comment that the settees were dirty. We stayed at the property ourselves immediately before your arrival and prepared the house, along with our cleaners in preparation for your stay.We can only apologise if we missed an apparent problem with the settees. The seat cushions are washed regularly, and the back cushions were washed only a fortnight before. Property Owner

The patio garden was lovely to sit in for breakfast in the sunshine, surrounded by pear trees, roses and colourful garden pots. There were also herbs available to use. The local pubs and restaurants we visited all had very efficient sanitising and social distancing practices in place.

The property

This modern, semi-detached, weatherboard townhouse, is situated in the coastal town of Broadstairs.

Beautifully furnished, this bright and cheerful property provides a superb base for both an active and relaxing family holiday, with only a seven minute walk to a safe, sandy beach.

Providing a beautiful home-from-home, and with accommodation over four floors, Kinsale has the flavour of the sea running through it, with fresh blues and whites, cream coloured walls and some lovely nautical touches.

On the first floor, guests are treated to a spacious open plan living area, with a well-equipped contemporary kitchen, generous dining area and sitting area with sumptuous sofas and comfy chairs, the perfect place to come together after a long day exploring Broadstairs, beachcombing along one of the seven sandy bays, visiting historic Canterbury or the lively Dreamland in Margate.

From the first floor living area French doors open onto a decked area and then a small lawned area beyond, fully enclosed this makes it the ideal place for children to run off some excess energy before bedtime.

Adults can then relax and unwind with a glass of wine, while sitting outside enjoying the last of the sun's rays, before also settling down in one of the four attractive bedrooms.

With an en-suite in one bedroom and a family bathroom, and the benefit of a cloakroom en-suite in the ground floor bedroom, there will be no queues in the morning.

The ground floor bedroom also offers access to a small seating area.

There are even toy boxes full of games and playthings provided to keep the younger ones entertained if the weather is less clement!

Broadstairs has been a magnet to holidaymakers for centuries; perhaps it is due to the quaint, cobbled lanes that lead to a variety of shops, ice cream parlours and tea rooms, or the museums and historic houses that draws the visitors.

With its safe, sandy beaches and wonderful walks along the shoreline, families and couples are lured back to Broadstairs time and again.

This cottage is a superb base for an interesting and varied holiday.

The property has space for 1 large or 2 small vehicles to park and a cloakroom WC on first floor.

The town of Broadstairs, known as The Jewel in Thanet's Crown, has been a popular place with visitors for centuries. The town offers Blue Flag sandy beaches, fishermen's cottages, Victorian architecture, hidden cobbled streets, clifftop walks, and Bleak House, which was once the Summer home of Charles Dickens. There are also many independent shops, butchers, bakers, tea rooms, gift and antique shops, a quaint old independent cinema, crazy golf and even a teddy bear hospital! This area of Kent offers a plethora of excursions and activities, including the Turner Contemporary gallery, Dreamland Pleasure Park or fascinating Shell Grotto in Margate, Dover with its famous white cliffs and castle, Dickens World in Chatham, the cathedral city of Canterbury, wildlife parks, gardens ...and all of London's attractions are only an hour and a quarter away by train! In addition, the area boasts arguably the most spectacular stretch of golf courses in the south of England including Open Championship venue Royal St George's and Royal Cinque Ports at Deal - host to the 2013 Amateur Championship. The local town of Whitstable is lovely to explore with fantastic eating options and a chance to try the famous Whitstable native oysters. For those looking for peace and relaxation, why not walk or cycle the Viking Coastal Trail? This pathway leads from Broadstairs to neighbouring coastal towns, including Ramsgate. Or for longer walks access the North DOwns way which winds through the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. And with the Channel Tunnel just 40 minutes' away, or ferries available from Dover, you could enjoy lunch in France. Historic and quaint this town may be, but if live music is your interest, then you are truly spoilt for choice! Most of the bars and pubs hold music nights throughout the year, where you can listen to everything from blues to folk, with the Blues Bash held every February and Folk Week every August, each attracting visitors from all over the world. Or, visit Dickens Week, every June, the annual Broadstairs water gala at the end of August or the outstanding Food Festival held every October.
