  • "Area was great lovely walks and easy to get to the places we like."

The dogs next door barking quite early were a nuisance, and the bare floor's make the place quiet noisy and hard on the feet.

  • "Fabulous holiday home."

Everything was spotless, with lovely , contemporary decor. There is a great kitchen, a brilliant shower and really comfortable beds. Everything you need for a perfect holiday retreat. The location of the house made access to Ramsgate and surrounding area really easy. The only downside to our stay was that the weather was too cold and wet to make use of the lovely garden!

It was absolutely spotless and very comfortable, the owner Pam was very approachable and friendly. I would happily recommend this property to everybody. The location was perfect to be able to stroll along the beautiful sandy beach.

  • "What we loved: We had a lovely stay at the Bay."

The property was great and the garden was absolutely stunning and fantastic. Our daughter loved it. I specifically enjoyed the little office with the desk and chair set up because I needed to do some work. It’s in such a great location and close to the promenade, playground, sea front and a nice walk to the downtown. Would definitely recommend to others. What can be improved (tiny touches): -To provide some basic necessities in the kitchen such as salt, pepper and oil -The bathroom is not equipped for an electric toothbrush or shaver- it would be good to mention in the description. -In the late evenings, it would be wonderful to have a blanket to cover.

Thank you for your feedback. Sykes and the owner have been in conversation and will make improvements where we can. We are glad you enjoyed the holiday and hope to see you again! Property Owner

A large bay window fills the room with natural light, whilst the woodburner offers a gentle warmth and the Smart TV provides entertainment.

The spacious kitchen comes equipped with all your culinary needs, complete with a dining table, at which to enjoy a hot cup of morning coffee.

There is also a lovely reading room where you can break away from the group and enjoy some quiet time.

Step outside to the enclosed garden, where you can sit back on the outdoor furniture with a favourite drink in hand, soaking up the seaside air as you reminisce on the holiday so far.

Less than half a mile from this delightful home, you will find a great selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and a convenient takeaway.

Ramsgate is famed for its picturesque marina; why not dine alfresco and watch the yachts sail out the marina, or meander along the promenade to the harbour and pick out something tasty from one of the boats landing their daily catch?

Beach lovers will be spoilt for choice while staying here, with 15 beaches and bays nestled between Pegwell Bay and Reculver renowned for their golden sands and awarded 3 Blue Flag badges.

Learn about the history of the area and explore the tunnels where Ramsgate residents lived during the WWII bombings, listen to live music in local pubs, or for the more adventurous, cycle the Viking Coastal Way, one of the most attractive cycle routes in Kent.

Ramsgate has plenty to offer, and it can all be enjoyed during a stay at The Bay.

About the location

Broadstairs 2 miles; Margate 5 miles; Canterbury 17 miles.

Ramsgate is a wonderful blend of maritime heritage, architectural splendour and a touch of cosmopolitan pizzazz, which was once the favoured seaside resort town of a young Queen Victoria. Why not dine alfresco and watch the yachts sail in and out of the marina, or stroll along the promenade to the harbour, the only royal harbour in the country, and choose something tasty from one of the boats landing their daily catch? For those who like nostalgia, a visit to the Pinball Parlour where you can try out the vintage machines, or to Vinyl Head Coffee to browse through the extensive selection of vinyl records, whilst enjoying delicious coffee and cake, is sure to invoke memories. There is also the world-famous Morelli’s in Broadstairs, which is said to serve the best gelato outside of Italy! Visitors are spoilt for choice when it comes to the beach, with 15 beaches and bays between Pegwell Bay and Reculver renowned for their sand and awarded 3 Blue Flags and 7 Quality Coast Awards. Watersports are a popular draw all year round, with many skilled and experienced instructors who will take you surfing, snorkelling, diving, boating and kite surfing. For golf lovers, Ramsgate is well served by some of the best courses in the UK (Royal St. George’s - Open venue, Royal Cinque Ports and North Foreland). Whether it be beach combing, golf, boat rides, watersports or a relaxing gourmet getaway, Ramsgate has it all to offer. For the more energetic, there’s the Viking Coastal Trail, one of the most attractive leisure cycle routes in Kent. With excellent restaurants serving local delicacies, including Ramsgate Harbour Brasserie and the Empire Room, to food from around the world alongside traditional English pubs, you are never far from your gastronomic desire either. And for those (occasional!) rainy days, why not visit the Granville Cinema or the quirky Palace Cinema in Broadstairs, where the organist co-owner regular performs film music of days gone by before the showing? Also, The Tunnels visitor attraction, an insight into wartime Britain, is highly recommended.
