  • "My only negative comment would be to echo what some people have already said about the bed."

It has a memory foam mattress which doesn't suit everyone and indeed one does tend to slide off the edge if one is not careful! Otherwise the place is great. Very cosy and warm, which suited us well as the weather was not the greatest the week we were there.

All I would like to say yes I do think the mattress on the bed should be changed as I don’t believe it’s now overused so changing it would be brilliant, but I do say you get an excellent welcome other than the bed I have no other complaints

Thank you for your feed back much appreciated. Sorry you did not get on with the mattress we have only ever had good feed back on the mattress . It is a very expensive temper mattress that's only a few yrs old and should last for at least 15 yrs of being slept in every night so maybe just too soft for you . I am glad you enjoyed everything else and felt welcome . Regards michaela Property Owner

  • "There was a miscommunication somewhere between Sykes and the owner so we were not expected on arrival."

Michaela sorted the problem and we were able to enjoy the property an hour later. Inside the den is modern and tastefully decorated. Essential kitchen area with bar stools and separate dining table and chairs. Small double, boat bed not ideal for tall people.

  • "Beautiful location and when the weather was good sitting in the secluded garden was bliss surrounded by trees and the birds singing."

Very friendly hosts and very dog friendly with everything needed for a relaxing and restful stay. Having lived in the area until 1994 I knew my way around. The only downside for me was I am a very cold being and I did find it a little cold at times - not enough to put me off visiting again though!!
