  • "Stayed here for a long weekend."

Hazel was a perfect host and the lodge was immaculate. Lovely location, really peaceful and in a beautiful area, lots of wildlife to see. Had a meal at the local pub the rose and crown, a traditional pub with well priced excellent food. The accommodation was perfect for a couple and we took our labrador who loved the property and the freedom to roam. Everything you need is there. We would defo stay here again and we did look but its fully booked for the rest of the year, which just goes to show how good the place is.

  • "So peaceful ."

As soon as we had arrived ,unpacked, and sat down we just knew it was going to be a restful and peace filled place . The little lodge is perfect for a holiday base or a short rest . Lovely scenery, it's set within grounds with paddocks and fields of sheep around . Lots to visit within 20 to 30 mins in a car , or walk up the lane to local woodland .

  • "This property was ideal for my wife, me and Marley our dog."

Hazel is a wonderful host and we loved meeting her. Seeing George and Pixie her dogs each day, and of course the Abbey and DJ the horses was very uplifting. This is a get away from it all destination. I have to mention the Rose and Crown pub about a mile and half away, lovely home cooked food at affordable prices with a warm welcome from all who work and drink there.

Would have like a whirligig in the garden space to hangout washing. Definitely need a car for shopping, local supermarket about a ten minute drive away.

Maybe clearer instruction that Little Lodge is in the grounds behind the gate of Abbey Lodge would have made it a bit easier to find
