  • “Lovely, cosy, comfortable, clean cottage with all we needed for our stay.”

An amazingly generous welcome pack from the owner who was super friendly when we spoke. Only one thing I would mention is that bedroom 2 is small for 2 adults and it would be hard to seat 4 adults comfortably in the sitting room. On the Sykes website the cottage is advertised still as pet friendly which on clarification I was told it isn't.

The property

This end-terrace cottage is situated in the coastal town of Birchington, with the delights of Minnis Bay beach only a short walk away.

Ideal for couples or travellers, the cottage makes a lovely base to return to after a day exploring the local area and beyond.

Enter inside to the sitting room, tied together with neutral coloured sofas and a feature fireplace.

Nearby, a well-equipped kitchen has been modernised to provide a selection of appliances and a dining table where everyone can gather together.

The ground floor is also home to a family bathroom, which boasts a rainfall shower and contemporary décor that compliments the style of the property.

Stairs lead up to a set of bedrooms; where views of the Victorian cottages can be seen from the main double room, whilst the double overlooks the wonderful garden.

After a good night's sleep, many afternoons can be spent in the homely garden, a sun trap, for a moment or two enjoying the location.

Explore the depths of Minnis Bay, where you can visit the Blue Flag beach, and enjoy an abundance of watersports, whilst the children make the most of the play areas and pools.

Canterbury can be found only 13 miles away with its history, culture, cathedral, river trips and theatre.
