  • "Having looked forward to this holiday for more than a year, it was even better than expected."

We were helped by having fabulous weather meaning that we used the beautiful (and warm) swimming pool continually for 5 days. The house was very clean and comfy and had the best places for hide and seek ever. My children 15, 13 and 9 managed to pretty much entertain themselves as there was so much space inside and in the beautiful gardens outside. Sarah (the owner) was absolutely lovely but also then left us too it and we had so much privacy as well as peace and quiet. In the last day of rain we visited nearby National Trust properties including Chartwell (The home of Winston Churchill) but we didn't feel the need to leave the house other than this. We are big home cooks and the house had everything we needed including a super coffee machine, outside toys, a pool table, a gym, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and a fab TV. What more could anyone ask for? We would definitely book this property again - thank you Sarah - we will be in touch!

  • "Sarah was very friendly and helpful."

She quickly resolved a few small issues within the lodge and was keen to check that everything was OK. Pool was fantastic during the very hot days that we were lucky enough to have whilst we were there.

This year we were able to take full advantage of the swimming pool and other outside facilities. We were a family party of 8 with ages range from 10 to 70 plus, all were delighted with our stay and will certainly return in the near future.

  • "Excellent holiday lodge, exactly like the photos."

Everything there to keep you entertained. Kitchen was small but very well equipped and functional. Gym was excellent. Lovely swimming pool which was warm enough to use in october! The only negative comment would be that there is no en-suite to master bedroom. Only one bathroom upstairs for 3bedrooms.

  • "We had a fantastic week at Rushmore Lodge."

We are a family of three generations, ranging in ages from 4 to 71 and every one of us had a great time. The property is exactly as we hoped it would be. The pool, which for us, given the very good weather, was a highlight for each and every one of us. It was larger than we expected and used throughout every single day. The property was very clean and comfortable, well maintained on every level, well stocked with everything you could wish for and above all else, very relaxing and totally private. All the facilities, gym, sauna, shower/steam room etc. were all used extensively and a great addition to the enjoyment of our week. Sarah and Neill were perfect hosts, very helpful, warm and friendly, but not obtrusive in any way. We would definitely like to return again, although booking might not be that easy during summer holiday time!
