  • "It was a nice little cottage getaway."

Very comfortable and cosy, although apart from the hot tub, not much to do. I’d suggest to come here if you would like to stay indoors mostly.

Nice quiet and hidden away. Nice pool and hot tub.

  • "Arrived at the property with a strong smell of damp."

Settee covered in mould and and not cleaned properly in months. Mould and damp in the shower and toilet. Didn't even stay the night and left within the hour. Owner stated we were 'Nit Picking' Avoid !!

You were at the property for over 4 hours before you decided to call us late in the evening. You decided to shine torches on the silicone in the shower and found limescale and not mould as you stated, also, there was some dust behind the sofa and not mould. If you spend 4 plus hours looking for fault in any property I'm sure you would find fault, so if that's all you found we will take this as a compliment. We could have resolved the minor issues in under 10 minutes would you have given us the opportunity Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely week staying at Willow Cottage."

The grounds are very relaxing and we made good use of the hot tub and swimming pool (though that was a tad cold despite it being June when we stayed). We have a couple of things that we feel would enhance the stay at the cottage even more: Instructions for Appliances, Points of Interest leaflets (or visitor guide), Small coffee table, Pizza cutter, Can opener, Steamer pan, Sun loungers for around the pool. All in all, Willow Cottage is a lovely place to take a relaxing break and there are surrounding attractions to visit - Hall Place & Gardens, Knole (NT), Darent River Walk and Dartford Central Park. Also, great location for hopping onto a train into central London.

  • "Very friendly and helpfull owner of the property."

Absolutely a beautiful garden and a safe location. Very luxery with swimming pool and Jacuzzi. Close to London and close to Kent. Depending on the wind you can hear traffic from the motorway.

  • "Overall pleasant place to stay for short break."

Bathroom seemed to have issues with dampness as mould on ceiling areas a constant use of dehumidifier needed and on first night slug in shower area. Hot tub and pool used which were lovely. One area of improvement maybe could be that soft seating provided outside similar to other cottages on site

  • "The pictures of Willow cottage do not do it justice."

The cottage and the surroundings are superb. The one thing that does need to improve are the directions to the cottage…the current ones are not clear enough.

  • "The owners were very helpful and available when we called or texted them."

The cottage was clean. The location of the cottage is within a shared area with neighbouring cottages and hot tub and a swimming pool. The cottage was very nice for a short stay however few improvements needed. - Provide guides/instructions for the property (we didn’t notice there was a freezer at the back of the kitchen counters until the end of our trip) - The heating was not working. It was very cold the first night as we only had one electric heater. After asking the owners we noticed there was a spare fan heater. - The cottage could do with a coffee table by the sofas for when you want to watch TV and eat. - Pathways to the cottage could do with some lights as it gets very dark in the evening and it is a long walk from the entrance of the property. Having to use mobile flash light can be difficult when you have bags to carry. - We were expecting there to be basics like salt/pepper/sugar/milk but none was provided given the price we paid for the stay. However basic kitchenware provided.

  • "Hi Gets very dark, especially this time of year."

Would DEFINITELY recommend lighting on the pathway up to the cottage. Other than that, everything else was brilliant. Thanks so much.

  • "We have had a wonderful stay at Willow Cottage, the only thing is that in the evening it was quite dark walking up to the cottage so a torch was necessary."

The cottage was clean and comfortable and the owners were happy to help if any problem arose. The heating system struggled on the first night but the owners had provided extra electric heaters so we were soon comfortable. All in this is a very pleasant place to stay in the Dartford area.

  • "Loved our stay thank you!"

The electric fob to open the electric gate seemed to have a dead battery? Couldn't get the gate to open so we parked outside. The address on the Sykes app took us to somewhere 5mins away, another place called "willow cottage" which was confusing. But we found our way eventually. Other than that, very happy thanks

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Apologies your fob battery was not working (you only had to ask and we would have provided you with a new one) during your stay . Many other guests have found the property without issues so I’m not sure what we can do to resolve (I will speak to Sykes to discuss if there is anything else we can do to make finding the property easier ) Many thanks Property Owner
