Cedarwood is a compact yet well-appointed cabin for two set on the edge of a small copse of trees in Icklesham, East Sussex.

It is nestled in the scenic High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has wonderfully cosy features, making it perfect for a romantic retreat.

The stylish and romantic timber retreat comes complete with WIFI, a smart TV and a woodburning stove to make an alluring living area for you to curl up and relax in.

The galley kitchen is amply equipped for a cosy cabin, there is also a charming shower room with a walk-in shower and a king-size cabin-styled bed separated by a curtain from the living area.

In summer the decking catches the sun throughout the day, and offers a tranquil setting to relax and unwind.

In winter the cosy, well-insulated cabin comes into its own with its cute tartan sofa and soft woollen carpets, but for the more adventurous there is large fire pit outside, complete with a wood supply.

Icklesham is the ideal spot for a peaceful escape with its great scenery, homely pub and farm shop with the High Weald AONB at your fingertips.

The picturesque town of Rye is a short drive away, offering a good selection of shops and restaurants and medieval architecture, just 3 miles from Cinque Port of Winchelsea, or why not head to Hastings which has a beautiful beach with its pier and the Hastings Castle to explore.

The historic 14th century National Trust property Bodiam Castle is definitely worth a visit.

Hastings 5 miles, Rye 5 miles

A lovely village set in the High Wealds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in East Sussex. Icklesham dates back to the 6th century, it is also home to a windmill on Hogs Hill. It is a great base for exploring this area, with two award winning village pubs which serve delicious home cooked food, and a farm shop, all surrounded by some wonderful rural scenery. Icklesham has three coastlines within 10 miles. To the east lies Camber with its dunes and sand, Winchelsea Beach/Pett Level with its groynes and shingle, and west of here are the cliffs that run all the way to Hastings with its pier as well as the well-known castle and plenty more to be discovered. There are many National Trust properties including Bodiam Castle, Rudyard Kipling’s Batemans and Ellen Terry’s Smallhythe Place which are well worth a visit. English Heritage sites include Pevensey Castle and Battle Abbey, which is the site of the famous Battle of Hastings.
