  • "Generally well kept and clean but felt attention to detail lacked ie furniture mismatched; glass areas needed to be cleaned better as had streaks as well as high touch areas."

Great location and amenities. Quirky accommodation with lots of kitchen wear for most cooking needs. If there are children then this has been considered. Sign posting to the site lacked, we had to ask a local as unclear.

It's was a lovely stay we enjoyed our brake away, it was a little dirty inside the property and had a smell of damp, the bbq was extremely dirty, we believe the lay out of the property could have been a bit better but we enjoyed our stay locals and on site staff was lovely and welcoming, easy access to amenities

  • "We had a great time at the Kingsdown holiday Park."

There are so many things to do see and do around. Plenty of games to play within the park and loved that there was a park for the little one. The chalets are beautiful. The park itself is maintained and run very well. All staff are very helpful. Our Tyre went flat and they found a pump for us and helped us pump the Tyre. The only thing that let the property down I would say is the cleanliness. There were loads of webs in the rooms, sinks were not cleaned properly and the sofas had crumbs on it from previous people. I had to clean the property my self as I was paranoid due to COVID and didn't want to take risk. The chalet we stayed at, didn't have a dish washer and I think that was the biggest let down as on holiday I didn't want to be dealing with washing the dishes. Overall it was an amazing experience and would recommend this place.

  • "Lovely place and great location, would certainly stay again."

The only thing that slightly brought down the score is that the house could do with some TLC/upgrades in some areas (eg. upstairs toilet) and that due to the shape of the house a few things are a bit narrow eg. Stairs (mentioned on the website, this could be a problem for middle aged/elderly people, so bear that in mind before booking), upstairs doors and upstairs WC (could be a problem for larger people or anyone above 6’1) and the beds (only length wise - could be an issue for anyone above 6’1, however wide enough and very comfortable to sleep on). Apart from that it was a lovely place with all mod cons, lovely location and very relaxed atmosphere. Would certainly recommend as long people are aware of the above.

  • "Fantastic location as a short walk to the beach and close to the famous White Cliffs of Dover."

The Chalet was very homely and comfortable for our family of 2 adults and 3 children. Please note that the Chalet Wi-Fi is an additional charge. We found it was more cost effective to upgrade one of our mobiles to unlimited data for the period of our stay and use it as a hotspot. The swimming pool due to COVID can only allow 11 groups per day to use it. You are required to line up on a first come first serve basis the day before, to be allocated a time slot of 40 minutes.

Thank you for your feedback for Sunshine Chalet (No 85). We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the property, however, we are concerned to hear that there was an additional charge for the WiFi as this included within the rental cost. If you had contacted the owner as requested they would have been able to give authorisation for you to use this. The WiFi at the property has now been upgraded to unlimited to prevent this from happening again. Property Owner

Ocado/Tesco deliveries available, great facilities within the park, excellent location in a lovely village so close to the seaside. Sykes and owner respond in a very prompt manner. Great place to stay.
