“The flat itself is not in a very pleasant area and parking is off road in narrow side streets and often difficult due to a nearby car bodywork garage where lots of vehicles are parked up.”

However the flat was clean and comfortable enough. Margate itself has little to recommend it to be honest although cliff-side walks are nice. However there are lots of nicer beaches and towns nearby e.g. Ramsgate and Broadstairs and overall the locals were friendly.
