"Although in a great location, the property is not really suitable for 6 people, as currently listed."
There were also a few niggles like very wobbly cupboard that contained glasses, really difficult shower control, empty salt and pepper, blinds that couldn’t be lowered without removing vases, no blinds in attic room etc that felt that no one had tried the rental out.

"Lovely cosy cottage in a great location."
Highly recommend.

"Very disappointing cottage."
It was not clean when we arrived so we had to request a re-clean. Bed in main bedroom is very uncomfortable and should be replaced. Light in second bedroom did not work. Kitchen is very poorly equipped (no glasses…). Whilst the location is good, the house is very expensive for what it is (very basically furnished, very small). Would not recommend.
-
"Wonderful cottage in a wonderful location."
We would love to book this cottage again.
-
"The hot water system needs to be looked at as it only delivers slow running water, especially in the bathroom."
We loved the welcome pack which we weren't expecting. The location is fantastic. The bed in the front bedroom is very creaky and uncomfortable. Minor points that would improve the facilities and comfort scores.

"Really enjoyed the location and house."
We had a great time

"We had a very nice stay thank you."
The house had most things we needed although I’d definitely say a bigger fridge is needed. The fridge that is there is not big enough for 6 people
-
"The main problem was the existence of only one toilet and shower room on the ground floor to also serve 3 bedrooms on the first and second floors."
A bit tricky for the people on the top floor at night (if necessary) to go down 2 flights of stairs, one of which goes through another bedroom. Apart from that it was a good place.
-
"Thoroughly enjoyed the cottage and this is not a criticism but as a property for 6 people there should be more mugs ( there were only 4) more tumblers and more cutlery as it was constant washing up and better Saucepans as the ones provided were very small ."
Otherwise the facilities were excellent with very comfortable beds , furniture and a lovely little courtyard garden . Fantastic position within Rye for all amenities and excellent car park very close by . Highly recommended.

"No hairdryer."
No oven gloves. But brilliant location.

About the location
RYE
Camber 5 miles; Hastings 12 miles; Battle 16 miles.
Rye is a 13th century cinque port in East Sussex, host to the River Rother, Romney Marshes and a history dating back before the Norman Conquest. A cobbled town offering an excellent array of unusual shops, antique emporiums, galleries selling local artist paintings and pottery, Rye also has a delightful range of tea rooms, restaurants, pubs and historic inns. There is also a weekly general market on Thursdays, as well as a farmers’ market every Wednesday morning. The town played host to BBC film crews for nine weeks in the summer of 2014, while filming of the TV series Mapp and Lucia took place, which has now been made into a DVD. All coastal scenes were filmed in nearby Camber Sands and bits of filming also took place in Hastings and the Tenterden Town railway station. Walkers and birdwatchers can enjoy a footpath leading across the marshes to Camber Castle built by Henry VIII. Local attractions include miniature or full-size steam train rides, local vineyards, stately homes, castles, gardens and beaches, including the beautiful nearby Camber Sands. Artists and photographers will especially enjoy the scenery; big skies, winding roads, and picturesque villages with ancient inns and tea shops. A truly relaxing and wonderful holiday destination.
