It is advertised as a luxury apartment but is just acceptable. Starting from the entrance road which has more potholes than road, and leads to a lorry park so you have HGV's passing from early in the morning till night time. The landing light has a few lights out as do the lounge , the tv is a bog standard 26 inch with just freeview no sky or cable or wifi which you expect in most rentals. The kitchen has no storage to put any food except for the small under counter fridge, which only has a small freezer compartment, four ice creams and a packet of fish fingers and its full. The cupboard for the plates is so small the plates have to be stored sideways. The booster pump in the cupboard on the landing is very noisy and cuts in very time the water is turned on in the shower room . The hand basin in the shower room is so small you have to crouch down to wash your face. If you want to shave take a torch cause there is no light above the mirror & basin. The bed was just acceptable and needs replacing putting a mattress topper on it does not work.We were surprised that they had not carried any Covid 19 precautions there were many out of date information leaflets and magazines and games that I doubt had been sanatized and we wondered how safe we were staying there. The times we are in have never been stranger because of this pandemic if you want a good meal out you have to book online at least one week previously, the pubs only let a few people in and shut at about 10 o'clock (take your own supplies ). The flat is convenient for the center of rye with the parking space.

Thank you for your feedback. The property is thoroughly cleaned before each guest and we receive high cleanliness and comfort scores regularly. We also currently leave hand sanitiser in the property, anti bac wipes for guest use, all high density touchpoints such as light switches, door handles and remote control are cleaned and sprayed, and we take health and safety very seriously (the property also even has back up emergency lighting) We will of course remove leaflets if we need to do this to reassure guests and repair the toilet seat straightaway and replace any lightbulbs The bathroom also has two downlighters We have two direct owner contact numbers issued with the key details ahead of arrival and Sykes are also always available to assist during a customer's stay, which during your booking period included a dedicated 'in property' telephone resource and also including out of hours support for emergencies - if we or Sykes had been contacted about any issue at all, we would of course have replaced bulbs immediately and also repaired/replaced the toilet seat straight away The kitchen while small, as advertised on the website, has all necessary utilities such as dishwasher, microwave, under counter fridge with freezer box and cupboard space to accommodate the crockery which is stacked vertically rather than horizontally. The TV is advertised as freeview only- we are sorry if this did not suit you but it is clearly advertised as freeview only, and guests usually find a 26 inch screen is ample, especially as they are usually out and about enjoying the local area. We appreciate that beds are subjective and supplied a mattress topper for extra comfort - to date there have been no other guest issues but we will of course monitor that There is an unmade approach road leading to nearby boathouses, but the property has a driveway and we feel that being able to stay near the centre of Rye, with dedicated parking for extra security, with the local water in view and yet still only minutes from the centre, make this an ideal location - Sykes owner relations

A cobbled street town offering an excellent array of unusual shops, antique emporiums, galleries selling local artist paintings and pottery, Rye also has a delightful range of tea rooms, restaurants, pubs and historic inns. There is also a weekly general market on Thursdays, and a Farmers’ market every Wednesday morning.
