  • “An excellent venue, sensitively managed.”

Extra signage outside farmhouse would prevent disturbance to farmer by guests

Little Harbourne Farm

Two quirky, rustic barn conversions resting on the owner's working farm amid the wonderful countryside of Kent, just outside of the High Weald AONB. Both converted to a warming standard yet sympathetically retaining their original wooden beams, both of these wooden clad holiday homes offer ideal accommodation for families, couples and friends to come together and enjoy the wonders of the South East. The Grannex provides light and welcoming open-plan living for two people to enjoy, a peaceful hideaway away from the bustling Harbourne Oast cottage which accommodates up to 10 people in heart-warming fashion. The area surrounding both properties offers a number of lovely seating areas, you can take a quiet moment to yourself or spend some quality time enjoying the sun with the accompaniment of your loved ones and the duck pond abounding in wildlife to sit and watch. Little Harbourne Farm is on cycle route 18 for the more energentic and does sit close to the welcoming village of St Michael's, it offers a couple of pubs and shops as well as a selection of takeaways. Nearby is the characterful town of Tenterden, its main street is laced with stunning half-timbered buildings which play host to a wide range of places to shop, eat and drink as well as a fascinating museum and a golf club. Avid ramblers and cyclists can make the most of the nearby High Weald AONB and the Kent Downs AONB slightly further afield, both are glorious landscapes in such a scenic part of England. The south coast is also within reach and promises a memorable trip to the seaside.

The property

Combining two delectable dwellings of a barn conversion and an accompanying annexe, Harbourne Oast is a welcoming base for groups of friends and families wishing to holiday together in this scenic area of Kent.

Resting on the outskirts of St Michael, these properties are ideal for those seeking a tranquil base, while never being far from the excitement.

Sitting amongst the owner’s working farm, step inside the main house of Harbourne Oast to find a spacious spot with brimming with exposed beams along with many other characterful features, making it a true delight of a dwelling.

Spend some time in the sitting room, relaxing amidst the woodburning stove in one of the many plush seating arrangements around the room with a good book in hand for a quiet evening indoors, or spend time all together around the dining table with a board game.

The dining table offers delightful views over your own pond through the floor-to-ceiling windows, making a wondrous backdrop to any celebratory occasion, with a hearty meal placed at the centre of the table with all the essentials of the kitchen assisting you on your self-catered stay.

Two of the bedrooms within the main property are uniquely round in shape, while the master king-size bedroom is accessed up its own staircase and has its own superb en-suite facilities; with two further king-size bedrooms, one being on the ground floor, alongside a double and a twin, you can ensure everyone has a snug spot to rest at the end of an action-packed day.

‘The Grannex’ also hosts an array of wonder, perfect for a couple to escape for some quiet quality time together.

The annexe boasts a glorious open-plan living space which is home to a kitchen area holding a modest selection of useful utensils to concoct a romantic meal for two to be enjoyed at the dining area at the centre of the room.

Snuggle down into the sofa at the end of your day with a classic film on the television, before retreating to the king-size bed to catch up on your rest ahead of your next fun-filled day back with all of the family.
