  • "Excellent cottage with lots of facilities included in a nice village which is convenient for touring."

Parking outside the cottage and a pub across the road which is not noisy and serves good Thai food. Nice touches such as the host leaving bread, jam, tea, coffee and milk for you when you arrive.

  • "We really missed not having a dishwasher."

Whilst appreciating there is limited kitchen space future guests are likely to get more use out of a dishwasher instead of the washing machine.

  • "Property was classed as a 4 star and in our view it didn't match that rating."

There was a general 'fustiness' in the building which we noticed every time we returned. The kitchen equipment was less than comprehensive - e.g. no bread knife, no sieve, no mixers, no large mugs, assortment of china, etc. and we would like to know what the 'appliances' were, apart from a microwave, and we would not regard the kitchen as 'contemporary'. We would call the kitchen very basic not 'modest'. Off street parking yes but less than convenient. Regarding cleanliness we would say this was not up to scratch. Nothing to do with Covid issues, just in general. There was dust under the beds, several kitchen items were dirty when taken out of the cupboards and oven, which should not have been the case. The fridge freezer was very small for two people let alone four people and would not have met the needs of people looking for 'a self catered stay'. We have stayed in many self catering cottages/homes and this was probably the most disappointing. It was not good value for money.

I would like to apologise that the stay was not up to your expectations. Our property is fully equipped with all the relevant appliances you should need to carry out your stay with us, we have not heard any prior complaints about this before as we feel the facilities and crockery offered for your stay are more than adequate. Our property has always been cleaned to a high standard and our prior feedback would validate these claims. I would like to put your mind at ease and assure you that we also fog the property on every changeover for the safety of our guests. Had we been contacted about any of the comments you have made, we would have been more than happy to put these right for you. Thank you very much for your comments and for taking the time to let us know your thoughts. Customer feedback is very important to help us continually improve our standards. Property Owner
