    The hosts are lovely and helpful without being obtrusive, and provide a wealth of information to help visitors find activities and entertainment in the surrounding areas. The view is beautiful and the hot tub is fantastic. We would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a break.

  • "We had a wonderful 14 days."

    Angie was available to answer any questions and gave us good advice about excursions. After a week we received fresh towels, bed linen and a cleaning. The facilities with bathrobes and whirlpool are great and contributed significantly to relaxation. The view is magnificent and we can only recommend the accommodation. Everything is clean and cosy.

  • "Fabulous little lodge with the perfect views to relax."

    Lovely location far enough away from everything but close enough for essentials. Lots of walks a short distance away and great to be able to relax afterwards in the hot tub with stunning views. The perfect little escape, we’ll definitely be returning.

    The view from the lodge was so outstanding and beautiful you could see for miles and miles on a clear day. The owners were very friendly and very accommodating. Really worth visiting and we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

    Very relaxing setting and the BBQ and hot tub gave us plenty to keep ourselves occupied. The lodge was very clean and plenty of privacy to the neighbouring lodges. Angie was very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back.

    The lodge had everything we needed, the welcome pack was the best we have ever had, cheese, butter, biscuits, tea. coffee, hot chocolate, Scottish Tablet and Prosecco. The views are amazing (day and night). The hosts, Andy and Angie are super friendly and accommodating and the position between Annan, Dumfries and Lockerbie ensures there is always something to do.100% would recommend and 100% guarantee we will be back.

The property

Tucked away in the heart of the Scottish countryside in Lochmaben, Dumfries and Galloway, just a short distance from the owner’s working farm is this charming pod, Lodge 3.

Boasting glorious views from an elevated position, Lodge 3 offers a romantic base for couples looking to experience this scenic pocket of Scotland.

Internally, the lodge consists of a studio-style layout with a space to eat, sleep and unwind, complete with a double bed and en-suite shower room.

The kitchenette features basic amenities including a 2-ring hob, microwave and fridge/freezer, so you can easily prepare light lunches.

Step outside and discover the wonderful decking, offering an alfresco dining area with uninterrupted views of the hills and surrounding countryside, instantly putting you at ease.

When it is time to unwind, cosy up with a good book on the egg chair, or relax your muscles with a soak in the hot tub after a day of exploring.

However you choose to spend your time, a holiday at Lodge 3 is sure to be well-remembered.

Laird Lodges

Laird Lodges are a collection of five well-presented pods, each with their own private barbecues, hot tubs, parking and decking resting in Lochmaben, Dumfries and Galloway. Locally sourced and built, and resting on the owners' own working farm, the lodges have unbeatable countryside views and are conveniently placed to give each one its own space and privacy while enjoying the hot tub. Ideal for couples or solo travellers, the lodges also come with a communal fire pit area, where you can get together with like-minded holidaymakers or the rest of your party in the evenings. When it is time to explore, there are plenty of attractions in Lochmaben and the surrounding area, including Eskrigg Reserve and Lochmaben Castle. The town is also well known for its excellent golf courses. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities in the area, including hiking, fishing, and biking. Further afield you will reach Moffat, a charming town in Scotland that is home to a variety of attractions. The Moffat Community Nature Reserve is a great place to explore the local flora and fauna, while the Moffat Museum is a must-see for history buffs, and the Hope Johnstone Park is a great place to relax and enjoy the scenic views; you may even want to visit the Dyke Farm Nature Reserve to see the local wildlife in their natural habitat. The area has an abundance of lovely towns and villages to visit, with plenty of dining options to choose from, such as the nearby Lockerbie, the popular Dumfries, and over the border back into England, Cumbria's Carlisle. Dominated by its stunning town hall, the small town of Lochmaben rests in the heart of Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. With a small range of amenities, it also offers five lochs, some known for their sailing and fishing. Lochmaben is also home to some fascinating castle ruins and an 18-hole golf course, the 53-mile long Annandale Way walking path runs through the village. From here you can visit the well-appointed town of Lockerbie, also home to a golf course. The market town of Dumfries is just seven miles away and ensures an excellent day out with its stunning architecture, things to do and the picturesque River Nith running through it.
