“Absolutely stunning location right on waterside of Nith and dominated by view of Crifell mountain.”

Excellent accomodation and close to Dumfries with all shopping needs so very good touring centre.

The property

Fisherman Cottage rests idyllically on the banks of the River Nith, just one mile from the centre of the Scottish village of Glencaple.

Sitting mid-terrace, this is the perfect spot for groups of friends or family to come and enjoy a deserved rural retreat.

Straight ahead of you as you enter the property is a pristine, all-white family shower room.

Next to greet you is a wonderfully bright living/dining room, a social dining table looks out towards the river through a large picture window, whilst an open archway presents a cosy seating area with a woodburning stove.

Adjacent to this lies a well-equipped kitchen, charming wooden units bring a traditional country cottage feel.

The first floor of Fisherman Cottage presents you with three delightful bedrooms; a king-size, a double and a single room with an optional pull-out all share access of a classy bathroom with a separate walk-in shower.

The smallest bedrooms gives a picture-perfect, elevated view of the scenery nearby.

Choose from two peaceful outdoor spots to enjoy this fresh location, a covered patio rests to the back of the cottage whilst a bench looking out towards the river is a serene spot to enjoy a hot drink before the day begins.

One mile away is the friendly village of Glencaple, providing visitors with a Post Office/shop and a pub serving food.

For a wider range of high-quality amenities, take the short trip north to Dumfries as its lovely architecture hosts many shops and eateries.

For breath-taking walking and cycling country, head to the Galloway Forest Park.
