  • "Ideal studio for 2 people!"

Lovely situation. Unfortunately the weather was against us and we left early. Next time hopefully the weather will be kinder. When we return to the Lake District I hope we can rebook.

cannot wait to return, a great cottage with walks right on your door step. perfect for our dog. a great location for towns nearby too.

  • "Great location and easy parking."

Wifi was strong enough that I received a message while I was in a nearby pub! The studio was actually larger than the photos due to the high ceilings. It would be great for 1 or 2 people. I already recommended it to my brother and sister-in-law.

  • "Lovely comfortable cottage."

Very peaceful. Pleased with the parking. Would you consider leaving some clothes hangers in the cupboard or asking guests to bring some with them. We enjoyed our stay and had excellent service at the pub with lovely food. Thank you

  • "The property was very nice."

We liked having plenty of cupboard space and hooks to hang clothes on. Bathroom and shower were excellent. Everything in the kitchen was good. No real complaints but it would help to have another light at the other side of the bed and maybe more powerful bulbs. We like to read in bed. Also some instructions on how to operate the heater as it was quite cold when we were there. We did manage to get it on. We would have liked to come again next year but it was already booked for the week we wanted.

  • "Although the cottage is small and basic it is very clean and comfortable."

There is everything you need including a laundry room which has all the facilities you need. The cottages are in a lovely position with many walks from the door. It is the second time I have visited recently and would gladly return.

Great accommodation and beautiful location. Not the 1st time I've stayed here and I will be back again . Only 1 small thing is if you shower too late , hot water can be an issue .

Two nearby pubs both serving delicious meals. Cottage had everything needed for our four day stay.

  • "A lovely little cottage situated in the beautiful village of Braithwaite and surrounded by stunning mountains."

The cottage is ideal as a base to explore Keswick and its surrounding countryside. Although the property is small, the bathroom and shower were the best aspects of the cottage. There are 3 things that we need to point out to the owner: 1) The hinge on the cupboard was broken when we arrived. 2) The one bedside light didn't work (Assume the bulb had blown) but perhaps a bedside light on each side of the bed needs to be considered. 3) The mattress seemed to sag a bit in the middle meaning that we didn't have the best nights sleep. We would, however, book again as the property and location was ideal for our 5 day break.

  • "Some information about how to use the heating is needed."

It was freezing the first night we needed blankets just to sit and watch TV. Lots of cobwebs everywhere. Brilliant walking area and excellent routes from the doorstep.

  • "Great cottage."

Although small it had everything that we wanted. Comfortable and cozy and a little over 30 seconds to reach either the village store, which was very well stocked or the local pub (Royal Oak) which served good food as well as a good pint.

  • "The studio was really lovely, far better than the photos."

Thick walls, a beamed vaulted ceiling, soft carpeting and god quality furniture. Everything was spotlessly clean and the whole complex looks to have been recently re-decorated. Nice little kitchen area with everything I needed. There is a decent sized shower room with fluffy towels & masses of hot water. The chairs and bed were really very comfy. I had plenty of space for my clothing etc. The washing machine in the laundry room was very handy. There was a good sized new looking flat screen TV with Netflix but, unfortunately, it conked out one evening. I left a message for Lorraine next morning & when I got back from my walk there was a spanking new Samsung TV in the studio! Great service. Braithwaite is a pretty village with 3 good pubs & a nice village shop. Is easy to get to Keswick by bus & you can also get to Borrowdale & Buttermere on buses that go through the village. There are incredible walks close by including the Coledale and Newlands Horseshoes. The weather was fabulous but I think even had it been cold I would have been cosy as the heater was very effective, there is a heated towel rail in the shower room too which is great for drying towels. I really enjoyed my stay and can highly recommend Braithwaite Mews Studios.
