Games room in garden was a delight to enjoy fresh air and cup of coffee in morning sunlight on decking terrace. Truly is a cottage to spend time in and relax enjoying the peace and quiet cannot recommend this cottage highly enough really is a gem . Excellent host with very enjoyable welcome pack on arrival. Local Garden centre is a must with a superb restaurant and a haven for any keen gardner, local good selection of shops in Annan and Dumfries 10 minutes down the road. • "This was a lovely house to holiday in, it was comfortable, tidy and spotlessly clean."

I was looking forward to firing up the log burner, but it never really got cold enough to warrant it. Nice arrival pack with a few food items. The owners were extremely helpful and responded to questions and requests promptly, especially regarding the WiFi (which was slow and intermittent). I would happily stay here again and recommend the property to others.

  • "We had a wonderful holiday staying at Valdheim."

The cottage was warm and cozy and we had everything we could possibly need. We were very grateful for the gym on wet days although there weren't many of those. Beds so comfortable, area so quiet but conveniently placed to explore surrounding area and the next door garden centre was a delight. Everything was very clean, well furnished and we wished we could have stayed for longer.

Our stay was extremely comfortable and relaxing. The surrounding area had everything we needed for our stay but the star of the show was the cottage. I would definitely recommend staying at valdheim and will definitely be booking it again in the future.

  • "The bungalow was clean, spacious, well equipped (including good wi-fi) and very comfortable."

The garden was pretty, with plenty of outdoor seating; the garden room had a couple of exercise machines and some conservatory furniture, a useful extra space. The bungalow is located right at the edge of the village, next to open countryside, so has a quiet, rural feel. This was an excellent base for our week’s holiday and the accommodation was all we could have wished for.

  • "The cottage is exactly as described on the website."

It has a longish drive to it , so we did not need to keep the gate shut as our dog kept around the cottage. The drive is off a quiet road which was not a through road. It is on the owners property , but we were left alone to enjoy our holiday. My son and wife along with two grandchildren came to stay and loved Dino Land next door which they use the complimentary pass to go in. There was also a pint of milk, bottle of wine and packets of various teas , jams and shortbread on a tray for us in the kitchen. It would have been too big for the two of us and our dog, but great for families. Our Daughter in law and 8 year old Grandchild loved the garden room with the gym equipment in ( Cross Trainer and an Exercise bike), whilst the youngest who has just started crawling loved exploring the place as it was all on one level with no stairs to worry about. Thank You David and Karen
