"Silver fern Cockermouth was absolutely fantastic."
Don't judge from the outside it's beautiful inside and the decor was right to my taste. It is on a main road which is fine with me so just bare that in mind I like noise outside. Only thing was we didn't know it had no parking. There was a car park round the corner which was just flustrating agyer driving from work and dying for a wee. If we knew we would of resheared where to park. Also the sky in the bedrooms didn't work not sure why. But appart from that the house was perfect.

About the location
Bassenthwaite Lake 7 miles; Keswick 13 miles.
The small country market town of Cockermouth is situated in the quiet north-western part of the Lake District, a largely undiscovered and unspoilt area, yet only 13 miles from Keswick. The town is famous as the birthplace of both William Wordsworth and Fletcher Christian (of Mutiny on the Bounty fame) and Wordsworth’s Georgian family home, on the main street, is now a popular visitor attraction, owned by the National Trust. Cockermouth offers a good variety of shops, pubs and places to eat, but (of course) the main attraction of the area is the beautiful scenery and excellent walking in the northern lakes – Bassenthwaite Lake, Ennerdale Water and Derwent Water.
