“The Coach House was one of our early discoveries with Sykes and it remains a favourite.”

It's a delightful cottage - spacious, cosy, comfortable, quiet, beautifully equipped and furnished, and in a perfect location. It's within a few minutes walk of a very well run Sainsbury, several excellent coffee shops, bus stops, restaurants, walks and some good specialist shops.

About the location

COCKERMOUTH

Bassenthwaite Lake 7 miles; Keswick 13 miles.

The small country market town of Cockermouth is situated in the quiet north-western part of the Lake District, a largely undiscovered and unspoilt area, yet only 13 miles from Keswick. The town is famous as the birthplace of both William Wordsworth and Fletcher Christian (of Mutiny on the Bounty fame) and Wordsworth’s Georgian family home, on the main street, is now a popular visitor attraction, owned by the National Trust. Cockermouth offers a good variety of shops, pubs and places to eat, but (of course) the main attraction of the area is the beautiful scenery and excellent walking in the northern lakes – Bassenthwaite Lake, Ennerdale Water and Derwent Water.
