“Hair drier would have been a bonus Also bedroom window had a big hole and let in rain.”

We had to mop up puddles after heavy rain.

We had to mop up puddles after heavy rain. A remote for dvd missing A kitchen waste paper bin would have been helpful

Thank you for your feedback. The owner has confirmed that a new bedroom window has been fitted today in this Grade 1 listed property. The owner thanks you for advising that the remote for the dvd player is missing. - Sykes owner relations

About the location

Bassenthwaite Lake 7 miles; Keswick 13 miles.

The small country market town of Cockermouth is situated in the quiet north-western part of the Lake District, a largely undiscovered and unspoilt area, yet only 13 miles from Keswick. The town is famous as the birthplace of both William Wordsworth and Fletcher Christian (of Mutiny on the Bounty fame) and Wordsworth’s Georgian family home, on the main street, is now a popular visitor attraction, owned by the National Trust. Cockermouth offers a good variety of shops, pubs and places to eat, but (of course) the main attraction of the area is the beautiful scenery and excellent walking in the northern lakes – Bassenthwaite Lake, Ennerdale Water and Derwent Water.
