  • "When we pulled up outside in the car the first thing we saw were metre long blackberry brambles hanging over the front garden wall and a broken garden bench under the front window."

There is a trip hazard at the top of the garden steps leading to the front door where tiles have been removed leaving a lip of concrete which we all tripped over during the holiday. This needs urgent attention to prevent a potentially serious fall. The property is in need of some DIY and decoration. The back yard is very unappealing and shabby. The property was well equipped and reasonabley clean as were the bedding and towels.

  • "We were visiting family in Maryport so this place was ideal."

It’s a nice walk down to the harbour about 15 minutes, the house was clean but basic. We had a day out at lake Windermere which was only an hours drive so this would make a great base for exploring the lakes. the Wi-fi worked great so that kept the kids happy when we were indoors. We would definitely stay here again ,also there is a chip shop, cafe/pizza place and corner shop all within 5 mins walking distance.

  • "Great space with lovely kitchen/dining area."

Was a great base for exploring further afield and Maryport itself with the great walk to the harbour and pubs.

  • "So glad we found this little gem in Maryport."

We had the most amazing holiday in the Lakes at such an affordable price. The accommodation was spacious for 6 of us and we had everything we needed. In the evening we sat in the front garden and just soaked up the view. The accommodation was within a 1 minute walk of a takeaway cafe which was brilliant for the first night when we were tired after a long drive. Also close to Lidls and some great pubs and fish and chip shops. Maryport was the perfect location for exploring the Lakes - only half an hour to Keswick, an hour to Scotland and an hour to both Lake Windemere and the Ravenglass steam train. Easy parking outside the house and excellent communication with the owner. We didn't want to come home!! We will be back.
