    “Spent a lovely week at Terns.”

    ..a nice bottle of prosseco and chocolate were waiting for us ,along with other basics which really helped to get the holiday off to a good start.Glencaple has two nice places for a spot of lunch or just a coffee,the Boathouse was lovely just to sit and take in the scenery.We visited the WWT,did the kite trail,went to Port Logan botanic gardens and many other places,I would definitely recommend this property. Thank you Sykes..and Terns!

The property

Terns is a wonderful ground floor apartment based in Glencaple, Dumfries and Galloway.

This cottage offers beautifully-presented accommodation, ideal for a large family.

Step into the entrance hall, which then leads off into a welcoming open-plan sitting room, an ideal place to relax with loved ones and boasting a gas fire, which adds an extra bit of warmth to the room.

Outside has an enclosed patio area with furniture and an enclosed, spacious lawned garden, which is perfect for letting your pets stretch their legs.

There is roadside parking available directly outside the property.

The is a lovely coffee shop/restaurant, Hotel/Pub and post office within 3 minutes walk of Terns.

Perfectly located for Caerlaverock Castle and Wetlands Birds Trust, which is certainly worth a trip to.

Dumfries is an attractive market town with so much to offer guests, including pubs, a selection of shops and a Post Office.

Caerlaverock Castle is nearby, and is good for nature walks.

The nearby attractions include Gracefield Arts Centre, an art gallery which is a Grade II listed building.

Showcasing hundreds of Scottish paintings, with contemporary exhibits and a café on-site for a spot of lunch.

Drumlanrig Castle is within driving distance, and is Grade I listed building.

Boasting a grand landscaped gardens, and a woodland, with walking trails.

With an extensive art collection inside and antique furnishings.

Terns is the place to be for those who enjoy the secluded countryside.
