    “We did enjoy a our stay.”

    The beds are comfortable, if a second duvet is used as a mattress topper (ie, removable mattress toppers might be considered, so your guests have an option to choose how hard they find the mattresses). It is quite noisy at night with people in the street. We missed any (laminated?) map or guides to the local attractions, which would have been useful. Location is great - easy walk into Keswick and Derwent Water - and we managed to find a parking space for free on the side road, which was ...

The property

Ashness is a very conveniently located three bedroomed maisonette, located in the centre of the bustling market town of Keswick.

The property is upside down style with the bedrooms on the lower first floor level and living accommodation on the second floor.

Offering spacious accommodation this comfortable apartment has lovely views to Moot Hall and the fells from the living area.

In Ashness you will find two double bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms, basin and WC, kitchen with dining area, and sitting room with games area and pool table.

Keswick is host to a vast array of visitor attractions, museums, parks, pavement cafe's, pubs and restaurants all surrounded by stunning Lakeland scenery.

The jaws of Borrowdale Valley adjoin the town and can be explored on foot or admired whilst enjoying a relaxing lake cruise.

A delightful maisonette ideal for families or groups of friends to gather together and enjoy the area with plenty to keep everyone occupied.

About the location

KESWICK

Bassenthwaite 7 miles, Ullswater 16.6 miles; Cockermouth 13 miles.

The popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the North of the Lake District and has plenty to offer the visitor at any time of year.

The town boasts numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering miniature golf, excellent parks, the famous Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema, the Pencil Museum, a climbing wall, fishing and great mountain biking opportunities, whilst the beautiful lake of Derwentwater at the head of the stunning Borrowdale Valley is only a few minutes walk from the town centre.

Nearby, between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit.

From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw or the famous Catbells, there really is something for everyone.

Visit Castlerigg Stone Circle, the Jennings Brewery and Mirehouse, a grand house and gardens on the shores of the Bassenthwaite Lake, or take a fabulous boat trip around Derwentwater.

With plenty of attractions for the kids, lovely parks and the nearby Lake District Wildlife Park this is a great Lakeland destination whatever the time of year..
