  • "Great location, 5 minute walk into keswick close to all shops, bar and restaurants."

There was loads of parking at the back of the house, room in the utility for all our bikes, lovely outdoor area. Inside the house was well equipped, loads of room ( we were a party of 10). The rooms all had bathrooms ( great showers) comfy beds. Kitchen well equipped and lots of seating in the dinning room. We loved it so much we want to book again.

Haxzemere was well maintained and had everything we needed. There was plenty to do in the surrounding area and just a short walk into Keswick.

  • "Lovely large property ideal for a group of 8 friends."

Bedrooms very comfortable and kitchen very well-equipped. We were able to walk into Keswick centre where there are plenty of pubs, restaurants and cafés and buses to many places in the lakes.

  • "Hazelmere was a great location for a group of walkers."

Could do local walks as well as venture further. Parking facilities particularly useful. Only note we would make is that the TVs in some of the rooms did not seem to work. Not that important as we did not spend much time in our rooms.

We had a really comfortable and well equipped place to get out every day exploring the region we love so much. Our extended family ranged in age from grandma to her great granddaughter and everyone enjoyed staying at Hazelmere very much. We look forward to booking with you again soon. Phil & Maria

Perhaps smaller hand basins would facilitate their use. Good quality carpets and furniture. We may be back!

  • "We loved staying at this property."

As a group that included couples and single people working each day with adults with learning disabilities at the Keswick Convention, we found that Hazelmere was ideal to relax at the end of the day, to share a meal and chill. There is plenty of space, comfort and facilities in such a convenient location - and plenty of off-street parking too. We've already booked for 2024!

  • "Excellent accommodation for a big family group, we had a lovely stay and would visit again."

Hazelmere is well appointed with everything you'll need, and a bathroom in every bedroom is a real bonus. Keswick is a fantastic base for a family holiday with plenty to do in the local area. The town centre is just 5 minutes walk away with plenty of pubs and places to eat.

Our second stay for a family gathering. Clean, well equipped and good sized rooms. Located a short walk from town centre with easy access to and through Fitz park. Very pleased with our visit, helped by kind weather!

  • "Generously sized holiday house within easy walking distance of Keswick town centre and attractions, plus a friendly Jennings pub just up the road."

The kitchen was well equipped, inc. 2 fridges, washing, drying and dishwasher machines, large sofas in the living room, large dining table and a range of comfy beds for single and double sleepers; each bedroom has its own keys for the room and house giving max flexibility for doing different things. We had an enjoyable week with wonderful weather. Outside space includes multiple parking spaces and washing line, but the gardens are open so if you take a dog beware to keep an eye on it so it does not run out into the road. Great views to the river and fells. Wifi coverage was good throughout the house, TVs in the bedrooms were older LCDs (not smartTVs).

  • "Really lovely stay at Hazelmere, the whole family loved the property and was perfect for our needs with everyone having own bathroom and utility space for the dogs/walking boots etc."

The house was cosy on rainy days with big living room and dining space, and nice outdoor space for when the sun was out. Only feedback was that the area was not enclosed for dogs but this wasn't a problem. Also no outdoor seating so if you have camping chairs and plan to sit outside it was good to have those. There were lovely features including coffee machine, some wine and snacks on arrival, boardgames and information book for the local area. The beds were comfy and the house was clean and kept to a good standard. Communication with the owner was easy, they were friendly and helpful. The area is perfect with a park leading to town 2 minutes walk away. Lots of parking on site too. We definitely want to come stay again and best holiday we've had in the lakes, lots of things to do in the area we rented kayaks and paddle boards at Derwent Marina and did lots of walks, sunset at Lattrigg was a highlight and walk up Catbells on a clear day was amazing.

  • "Hazelmere is in an excellent location ideal for access to the town and its amenities."

The interior is spacious enough for large groups and the bedrooms are big enough to swing a cat with great storage, tv’s ,huge beds and en-suite facilities. Our only gripe was with the patio area and rear garden, the patio is dirty and could do with a good clean and the addition of some seating and tables for out door dining. Similarly the garden is rather unkempt and doesn’t take advantage of the sunshine and spectacular view. Perhaps it’s a work in progress. This wouldn’t deter us from booking again! Just a note for the owner, there is a loose socket in bedroom 1, the shower head mounts are loose causing the heads to drop and there are no pegs for hanging washing on the line ,hope you don’t mind me mentioning that.

  • "Fantastic accommodation, in a great position."

Would've loved to have stayed longer. Only little disappointment was that, even though the house accepted dogs, it would've been perfect if the rear garden was enclosed so the dog could run around, which was a shame, although it did say in the description, hence we were fully aware of it at the time of booking. It didn't detract feom our wonderful stay though.

. towel rails etc but on the whole, no complaints

  • "Amazing house with everything you could possibly need and more to make your stay comfortable."

The kitchen is fully equipped in case you want to eat in. There are board games and lots of books for adults and children. Three extra large comfortable couches in the living room. TV’s in all bedrooms (but not everyone has a remote) and every room is en-suite which is ideal when you have a large group staying. There is parking for 3 cars at the rear of the garden behind a fence, 2 cars by the back door to the property and two spaces at the front. There is a handy boot room at the rear to leave muddy boots and wet coats, there is also a washing machine and drier in there. The house is opposite the River Greta and if you turn left out of the property you will come to a river walk which you can enter through the Crosthwaite Road Car Park, this walk takes you through lovely parkland to the town along the riverside. If you turn right from the property this takes you turn to High Hill and you can walk along this road into Keswick Town and the many shops, pubs and lake walks. The lovely market was on in the town on Saturday and there are many places to eat and drink however I would suggest you book a table if you can at peak times. Just a point to note, which wasn’t a problem for us, however, the back garden is not gated and this property and neighbouring properties use the small road/pathway at the side of the property to access their parking spaces. This would be only be a problem if you had children or dogs left unsupervised. We had a wonderful stay with three generations of family to celebrate a special birthday.
