The property

Jill's Cottage has breathtaking views to the fells, yet is only a few minutes stroll from both the centre of lively Keswick and the shores of Lake Derwentwater. This dog-friendly terraced cottage offers cosy accommodation for a family who want to explore all the attractions the Lake District has to offer, at any time of year. The inside of Jill's Cottage is bright and cheery, with comfortable seating in the living room and a well-equipped modern dining/kitchen.

Upstairs are the two bedrooms, one double and one twin, plus a modern family bathroom with bathtub and overhead shower, wash basin and WC.

Outside the rear of the cottage there's an open plan patio with garden furniture, which is a nice spot to unwind away from the hustle and bustle of the Lakes.

There are also two off-road parking places for your cars.

All the amenities of Keswick are on the doorstep, so whether you fancy a relaxing drink or an evening out at the theatre everything is within easy walking distance.

There's also a launderette just 10 yards away. Keswick is at the heart of the North Lakes and there's so much to do within a few minutes of Jill's Cottage.

The whole family will enjoy a cruise on one of the Derwentwater steamers, while attractions like the Puzzling Place, the Lake District Wildlife Park and Go Ape will keep children of all ages occupied.

The Kong indoor adventure centre and Keswick climbing wall are the ideal place to spend a rainy day, and for those wishing to attempt the real thing, Skiddaw is within easy reach.

The active family will love the opportunities for walking and cycling that are literally on the doorstep. Within an hour's drive of Keswick you can also take a picnic to one of the beautiful Cumbrian beaches, visit the Roman forts on Hadrian's Wall, enjoy a day out in historic Carlisle with its cathedral and castle, or experience the magnificent views from the Kirkstone Pass as you drive into the heart of Beatrix Potter's Lake District at Ambleside and Lake Windermere.

Don't miss a trip to romantic Ullswater and the world famous Sharrow Bay hotel restaurant or a day at the swimming pool in lively Penrith. With so many family attractions and great day trips so easily accessible from Jill's Cottage, this is the ideal getaway for the active family whatever the time of year.
