  • "Lovely stay at the Latch Cottage."

Location couldn’t be more perfect! Welcome hamper was a lovely touch and much appreciated

  • "Latch Cottage was ideal for me, both in terms of location and function."

The owners were very helpful and approachable. As has been mentioned in previous articles, the stairs are steep and narrow in places which needs to be taken into account re mobility issues. The parking permit was much appreciated. Latch Cottage is small but perfectly formed in my opinion. I would be very happy to stay there again.

  • "Practical, comfortable and clean."

Really good having the boot room to dry the wet muddy stuff.

  • "Latch Cottage was perfect for our needs."

The boot room was especially handy for access, to keep boots / dogs out of the way until dried off. The location is perfect - very central and access to a garden was very useful. The cottage itself is very stylish and practical and we found it very comfortable - home from home. We'll be back.

  • "Latch Cottage was a perfect base for our recent stay."

A compact cottage that has been thoughtfully and tastefully renovated to modern day living while retaining it’s charm. Ideally situated on the edge of town yet a stones throw from shops, cafes etc if you wanted them. Parking arrangements worked well and easy to load/unload directly outside. The property was extremely clean and well kitted out with everything you might need. It was cosy and welcoming after a long drive and the welcome pack was a lovely touch and very practical thank you. We would be very happy to book this property again. We found both the owners and Sykes responsive, friendly & helpful.

  • "This cottage was lovely, it so cozy and had everything we needed."

The welcome box was a nice touch. We mastered the log burner in time for storm barra, couldn't think of any where better to be in such weather. Perfect.

Very clean. Very convenient, just a few minutes walk into central Keswick.

  • "The cottage was clean and comfortable."

However, although there is a general message on your website about cottages (low ceilings, steep stairs etc) I do feel the fact that the back door/garden is accessible down a steep set of stairs from the kitchen should be made more apparent. The parking permit was an issue for us, we were expecting to find a paper permit in the cottage, it was not until I contacted your offices that it was made clear I should have organised this earlier. Having sent the required email, and contacted your offices again I still have no idea if the permit was granted or not. We paid parking fees. It would be helpful if the need to organise the permit was made clear in the booking process.

Dear Mrs Harrison, We are pleased that you found the cottage clean and comfortable. We are sorry about the confusion over the parking permit. Having been in contact with you since your stay, we have established that the emails we sent confirming the parking arrangements went into your spam folder. This was unfortunate but we have now taken measures to make it more clear to guests on arrival what to do if they have not already arranged their parking permit with us. Property Owner

  • "Lovely cosy, clean and well located cottage."

We had a great week exploring the local area. Thank you for the lovely welcome pack. Excellent meals at The Skiddaw Hotel, The Old Keswickian and Brysons as well as enjoying some of the local ice cream.

  • "We had a really lovely stay in this sweet cottage very conveniently located close to the centre of town and several walks."

The only reason that we marked it down for comfort and facilities was because the bed was quite hard (which may suit some visitors) and the sofa was not comfortable for lounging. This could be instantly solved with the provision of an ottoman or footstool. We did think that a tumble dryer to replace the freezer would be a good addition for drying clothes especially for those visiting in the winter months.

  • "The cottage was beautiful and very clean."

It had everything we needed and was in a fabulous position for a stroll into Keswick for something to eat and to walk around the lake. My only issue was with the lounge seating which was very small and rather uncomfortable.
