Lillibet Cottage, stone built, was lovely and cool. Everything we needed was available. It was noted in the details about the difficult stairs down to the kitchen and also awkward stools in the kitchen. Definitely not suitable for senior citizens, but we managed. Reviewed by RhodaJul 2022 "Lovely stay in Lillibet cottage." Clean and very well equipped. Quirky layout; kitchen down steep steps into basement but with a window and as described on website. Wonderful position: minutes from the Moot Hall but lovely and quiet. Great views of the fells and the parking space was excellent as parking on street is difficult in peak times. Lots of walking distance and excellent view and quiet location Reviewed by RowenaMar 2022 "A very nice property which was very comfortable and centrally located." We found it easy to find and clean and tidy on arrival. It took a while to warm up but was cosy and warm. Beds and the sofa were very comfortable and we slept well. The stairs up and down are tricky if you have mobility problems but this was highlighted in the property details. Parking is a bit difficult as on a cobbled slope, but manageable. We enjoyed are stay. Reviewed by DominiFeb 2022 "Comfortable cottage in an excellent location and the car parking is a real bonus." Reviewed by MikeSep 2021 "Very disappointed with the lack of general cleanliness." Generally dusty. Mattress and pillows stained under protectors. No toiletries or basics like cling film, kitchen roll or even a pint of milk in the fridge. Lovely position however. No outside chairs as listed but fortunately we had taken our own. Car park space only suitable for one car not two as stated. Red letters on sideboard from power company! Not really what you want to see. We did like the cottage and loved Keswick but standards need sharpening up! Reviewed by AnitaAug 2021 "Clean, comfortable and central to all amenities." Once we arrived in Keswick we were delighted with Lillibet Cottage and had a memorable time. Sincere thanks to the Sykes team for managing the challenges presented by Covid.
