“This was the first time we had stayed at this property.”

It was more than adequate for our needs. Very clean, warm and comfortable. However we thought that an older couple who may have selected this property because it was on the ground floor might be concerned about the access to both the kitchen and the bathroom that are at the end of the hallway at the end of which is a step. There was a thin strip on the step marked to say it was there but it was not initially noticed and would be better if there had been a NOTICE AT EYE LEVEL as a clear warning ...

It was more than adequate for our needs. Very clean, warm and comfortable. However we thought that an older couple who may have selected this property because it was on the ground floor might be concerned about the access to both the kitchen and the bathroom that are at the end of the hallway at the end of which is a step. There was a thin strip on the step marked to say it was there but it was not initially noticed and would be better if there had been a NOTICE AT EYE LEVEL as a clear warning. Also looking down at the step the lower level was covered with a horizontal striped carpet (not dissimilar in colours to shade of the floor colour on higher level). The bathroom was very well equipped with a spotlessly clean modern bathroom fittings but the bath was much too wide for the width of the room. There was a small channel to walk along between the length of the bath and the wall to access the shower. Very awkward especially on leaving the shower to do the 'return walk'. Should anyone fall in that area they would have difficulty to get up and a larger person could easily get wedged. The bath was big and on high insight a standard size bath would have been a better choice.
