  • "Stone Ledges was the perfect location for our stay."

It is so central to the high street whilst being super quiet! The communication with the owners re: parking was great and was superb to not have to worry about parking. I can’t recommend enough!!

  • "This is my second time staying at Stone Ledges."

It is a lovely old cottage which has a really cozy feel to it. Heating and hot water system work great. It’s very well equipped and very clean. The open plan layout works really well. Upstairs the beds are comfy and the showers is decent. The cottage is tucked down a really quiet side street very close to the Main Street in Keswick so it’s very convenient for all the amenities in town yet tucked away nicely. Car parking in the main Keswick car park is conveniently close. Owners of the property are very helpful and efficient. Highly recommended!

  • "A very nice cottage - ideal for 2 people in most ways."

The clothes hooks, boot racks and radiators near the door are ideal for walkers. The only downside is the distance to the car, which we hadn't quite realised from the cottage details - we'd assumed that we could walk directly to and from the car park, rather than round past the 'Dog and Gun'. No fun packing the car in the rain!

We are so pleased you enjoyed staying in Stone Ledges and thank you for your vuluable feedback. The cottage benefits from a really quiet, yet central pedestrian location near all the facilities, pubs, restaurants and shops. We provide free parking via an online permit in the Central car park. Due to the pedestrian streets in the centre of Keswick, access is on foot, approximately a 3-5 minute walk away, via the walkway adjacent to Lake Road Inn and the Dog and Gun. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely week in this fantastically located cottage."

Weather was quite poor, so after walking in poor conditions most of the day, it was lovely to get back to Keswick knowing that the cottage was only a few steps from the main square. Cottage was amazingly quiet as the track in front of it is private and a “dead end”. We “self catered” most nights as it was so cozy in the cottage we didn’t fancy venturing back out into the cold and wet, although the few nights we did, everything is so close. Parked in the main long stay car park on arrival and the car stayed there the entire week, not need at all such is the proximity to shops, bus station and local walks. Perfect cottage in a beautiful town.

Thank you so much Ian for your feedback. Stone Ledges is really in the centre of things and cosy on those autumnal evenings. We are also pleased you could leave the car and walk direct from the house Property Owner

  • "The cottage was absolutely brilliant, very well stocked with kitchen utensils and just about every cleaning item ever needed."

It would have been helpful to know that washing up materials, including sponges, cloths, liquid detergent, tea towels and cleaning sprays were all in situ, so that we didn't need to bring our own box full. The location was excellent and although just yards from a busy main street (live music, dog walkers and a twice weekly market) once inside the cottage it was wonderfully peaceful. More than adequate cooker, fridge, microwave and exceptionally clean. Highly recommend.

Many thanks for your positive feedback Lorraine which we really appreciate. Its very good to hear you had a good time staying in Stone Ledges and that you enjoyed its central yet quiet location Property Owner
