    Mr Demetriou

“I have to pre warn anyone booking, the sharp bend at the top of the drive is a bit tricky for some cars, specially when wet or even worse icy.”

At first impression's the apartment looked very nice, but it was slowly getting obvious it was in need of a little TLC. The toilet seat was about to fall of, lucky I had some tools in my car, and the door handle leading to the main entrance was also loose. I have no idea what happened to the sofa nearest to the bedrooms, as the legs were so loose and about to come off, we didn't use it. The most annoying thing was the lack of service to the property. You can not have a kitchen worktop in a corner with no lights. The tubes were not blown, they were completely missing and not replaced, The lovely clock on the wall was not worth a 50p battery to get it working. I would have replaced it, but didn't want to mess incase it broke. These are silly things that would have made a difference at a small cost. I have to say it was very clean and warm, and very convenient for the visits into town or the short walk to Castle Rigg stone Circle. which is a must for any visitor.

The property

The Beeches is a beautiful one bedroomed, ground floor apartment, in an elevated position, situated on the outskirts of the pretty Lakeland town of Keswick.

This delightful holiday home is part of Fieldside Grange, a former gentleman's residence which has been sympathetically converted into apartments and retains original charm and character.

Offering contemporary accommodation, this lovely apartment boasts spectacular panoramic views from the shared grounds over Keswick to Bassenthwaite Lake.

Inside your single-storey holiday apartment are a double bedroom, a bathroom with a shower over the bath and an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area with patio doors and extra warmth coming from the electric flame effect fire.

Aside from the shared grounds, the property has a private patio area, from where you may wish to enjoy a drink on a summer's evening after a busy day out and about.

Castlerigg stone circle (a five minute drive), St Johns in the Vale and low level countryside walks can be enjoyed directly from the doorstep.

For the more energetic Skiddaw, Latrigg, Catbells and the Borrowdale Valley are all waiting to be conquered and explored.

A welcoming apartment, ideal for a couple and with plenty to see and do within reach.
