Cleaning of the apartment was not as good as it should be. We pointed out some of the cleaning issues and they were dealt with promptly and efficiently. When we came to use the drying up cloths they had an unpleasant stale smell. The bedroom clock had no batteries which we also pointed out and was dealt with promptly. The bathroom extractor fan doesn't work. One of the kitchen surface lights has no tube in it. This is a nice apartment in an attractive location. We enjoyed our break. Attention to the minor details would make it even better.

The property

The Beeches is a beautiful one bedroomed, ground floor apartment, in an elevated position, situated on the outskirts of the pretty Lakeland town of Keswick.

This delightful holiday home is part of Fieldside Grange, a former gentleman's residence which has been sympathetically converted into apartments and retains original charm and character.

Offering contemporary accommodation, this lovely apartment boasts spectacular panoramic views from the shared grounds over Keswick to Bassenthwaite Lake.

Inside your single-storey holiday apartment are a double bedroom, a bathroom with a shower over the bath and an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area with patio doors and extra warmth coming from the electric flame effect fire.

Aside from the shared grounds, the property has a private patio area, from where you may wish to enjoy a drink on a summer’s evening after a busy day out and about.

Castlerigg stone circle (a five minute drive), St Johns in the Vale and low level countryside walks can be enjoyed directly from the doorstep.

For the more energetic Skiddaw, Latrigg, Catbells and the Borrowdale Valley are all waiting to be conquered and explored.

A welcoming apartment, ideal for a couple and with plenty to see and do within reach.
