We thought the kitchen was tired looking. Crazy amount of crockery and glassware. Good location. All those stairs certainly gave you a good workout!

  • "Lovely 3 night stay in very good apartment."

Well equipped & to a high standard. Only minor problem we had was with tin opener-couldn’t fathom it out at all!

  • "Walla Crag is a brilliant and comfy 2 bed apartment right in the centre of Keswick with a dedicated parking spot, it was ideal for us (family of 4 with children 13 and 11) who enjoy walking and exploring the area."

The main bedroom is light, comfy and has an en-suite, the 2nd bedroom is a twin, with the main bathroom halfway up the stairs, and the 2nd floor has the lounge with dining table and kitchen (fully equipped with everything you need), and a nice balcony which captured the sun in the middle of the day, lovely to sit out with a glass at the end of the day (especially as the weather was great). All very comfy and ideal for us. Parking space was great, less than 100m away across a minor 1-way road through Keswick, barely needed to use the car as we walked a lot, but it did get covered in sap and blossom (very minor downside). We step out directly into Keswick from where we did walks to Catbells and Walla Crag, it is a short walk to marinas where we did stand up paddle boarding and river tubing. Only consideration for others is stairs, you have to go up 1 large set to get to the apartment, then inside the stairs are carpeted but could be a little steep for some to get to the main bathroom, lounge and kitchen. We would definitely book here again.

Thank you for your positive feedback on your stay at Walla Crag and in Keswick. We are delighted you were able to enjoy good weather during your stay! Thank you for your comments about the stairs. We show a picture of them on the website, which we hope helps prospective guests to make a decision about the suitability of the apartment. We hope to welcome you again in the future. Property Owner

  • "A very impressive property."

The decor, styling and facilities were first class. The quality of bedding, towels, crockery and kitchen utensils again first class. I loved the little extras; night lights, reading classes, it showed thought and gave the impression that someone really cared that whoever rented the property was made to feel special. Well done.

Thank you for your lovely feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your stay Walla Crag, especially the little touches that hopefully make the stay extra special. We very much wanted the apartment to be a home from home. We hope to welcome you again to Walla Crag. Property Owner

  • "Had a lovely few days over New year, property was lovely and the Christmas tree and the gift bag was a wonderful surprise."

The property is in a great location and it was lovely and clean. The only issues we had was the Internet in the property didn't work and the heating downstairs wasn't very good so downstairs was very cold compared to upstairs.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed the Festive touches during your stay at Walla Crag. We are sorry to hear that there were a couple of problems with your visit but hopefully they were quickly resolved. We hope to welcome you to Walla Crag again. Property Owner

  • "We loved the apartment and the location was fabulous."

It was also one of the best equipped self catered places we have stayed in. Plenty of cutlery and crockery which saved us having to use the dishwasher too often. The only slight downside was that the ground floor of the accommodation was a little cold but having said that we stayed there during the very cold spell in December which didnt help. We certainly needed the portable heater that was supplied.

Thank you for your feedback. We try to provide everything our guests might need during their holiday. We are glad the heater helped during the cold spell and hope to welcome you back to Walla Crag soon. Property Owner

  • "Our second stay at Walla Crag ."

We have stayed at other Royal Oak apartments but find Walla Crag the most comfortable and homely. Unfortunately limited walking capability means we not be visiting the lakes again but if we were to reconsider Walla Crag would be top of the list

Thank you for your feedback. We are so glad you found Walla Crag comfortable and homely and that you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "The accommodation overall was of a high standard, with really good quality furnishings and was well equipped."

However, the main bedroom, even with the heating on, was very cold at times. While the duvet on the double bed was very warm, it was very heavy in weight and caused a little discomfort. We washed some clothes towards the end of our stay in the washer/dryer and hung them up to dry while we were out. We later set the dryer function to finish drying them but it wasn't working, with no heat at all. Maybe things like this should be checked from time to time, especially in cold and wet weather at this time of year. Otherwise everything was fine and we enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay at Walla Crag. We are sorry that you found the downstairs cold and that the washer/dryer wasn't working properly on your visit. We are looking to resolve both these issues. Property Owner
