  • "A thoroughly rejuvenating experience after such a tough year."

The accommodation was perfect for us set in a quiet area within its own garden that allows us to take full advantage of the glorious weather. The birds were enchanting to watch and it was all so peaceful we almost didn't want to go anywhere else. Liz and Dave are lovely hosts and had made sure that everything was perfect, spotlessly clean, everything necessary and beautifully laid out. The extra touches in the kitchen, the information about the local area and of course the pool table made for a relaxed stay and when we explored the area we found great places to eat and beautiful walks and plenty of interesting places to visit. Just smashing...and we will be back!

  • "One of the best cottages we have stayed in to date!"

The hosts were delightful, the cottage was immaculate and spectacularly clean. It had everything you needed and more - a lot of thought has gone into this. Really appreciated the home grown veggies (we now have veg plot envy!) and other goodies. The private dog friendly paddock was a particular highlight along with the visits by the red squirrel too! Location is great for exploring. Remote enough with stunning views to the hills, quiet enough to relax but with great access to amenities when needed. A fantastic and much needed break away. (The photos really do not do this property justice!)

David and Liz are excellent hosts and the home made cake and marmalade treats were marvelous. We chose not to bring our Labrador on this trip but can assure any potential customers that the large enclosed grassed garden area is ideal for all four legged friends. This was our first visit to the area and traveled as far as Ayr and most of the other places within an hour or so on the road, we especially liked Kirkudbright. All in all would recommend this establishment to any couples looking for peace and quiet and stunning scenery.
