“Well what a fantastic and enjoyable holiday we had in the Lake District; Skiddaw Cottage being our holiday home for the week in October 2020.”
Set back in the hills, the cottage was very welcoming and cosy with welcoming gifts on arrival such as fresh eggs and cake alongside even a towel, bowl and biscuits for our GSD. Cleaning products provided ; due to the way the water is treated biological products should not be used. Loads of pots, pans, crockery; overall everything you need and more. Outside, nice kept grounds with pet sheep, goat and chickens and lovely views. From the cottage it is easy to get to places of interest within 15 ...

Outside, nice kept grounds with pet sheep, goat and chickens and lovely views. From the cottage it is easy to get to places of interest within 15 mins to an hour depending how far you wish to explore the Lake District. This is the first time we have undertaken a holiday in the UK in years despite living here. We throughly enjoyed our stay at Skiddaw and recommend to anyone who enjoys countryside/views but also who like to explore the Lake District as a whole.
One thing to point out given that Skiddaw's postcode is large. We used CA12 4QG which is on main road; there is a pink cottage and this is where you turn up the lane and follow until you see Skiddaw on the right. So easy to find using this postcode.
