We stopped at the Vermont last week in march and there was 5 adults and 1 dog,On arriving at the cottage we found the code for key was incorrect so rang the phone number provided and given the correct number and the person was very helpful and rang us up later to see if everything was ok. The Vermont is set in a great location in the lakes and we went up Catbells,Scarf pike and visited Windermere,Ullswater and had a visit to go ape.The places we visited are all less than a hour drive from the place. The area around Vermont is ideal for walking and go ape is only about 30-40 walk up the hill and plenty of walks to do in the forest and great visiting centre. The Vermont has great views and good room sizes and upstairs where we went up in the evening to relax is perfect in size. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would go there again in the future.
