Burgh by Sands rests in the City of Carlisle within the district of Cumbria. Laying close to the Solway Firth, this parish includes the villages of Longburgh, Dykesfield, Boustead Hill, Moorhouse and Thurstonfield. Burgh by Sands is home to a primary school, a pub and a post office.
