This cottage is next level. Very spacious, beautiful ,clean , comfy and highly equipped. We were so pleased to find lots of goodies including home made scones and cookies were to die for. The owner of this cottage, Tonya, was very helpful and nice. Despite her busy schedule she showed us around the farm and answered our questions with patience as we were pretty curious about farm and farmer's life . A week stay at this beautiful cottage is so memorable and precious to us. On the day of our departure, Tonya packed us some scones and cookies which we thoroughly enjoyed on our way back home. Once again thank you so much for your generosity. We highly recommend this cottage to each and everyone of you if you are travelling to the Lake District in near future.

The cottage is very spacious, comfy and has every requirement for your stay. The cleanliness is exemplar, and the little touches make it feel a home from home. The hosts live next door an nothing was too much trouble. Despite being part of a working farm we weren't disturbed by it (apart from the occasional early morning moo). If you want to explore this part of Cumbria it's a fantastic place to stay. Thank you.

Most of all, we are delighted to have met the really lovely hosts again. Their warm welcome and treats are very appreciated. We will be back!

We have stayed in many cottages in Cumbria and this is without doubt the best ever. Carrock Cottage is absolutely beautiful. It is spacious, yet cosy and comfortable and has everything you could possibly need for a fantastic stay. The welcome pack was amazing, including delicious homemade scones and biscuits and we all loved the guided tour around the farm, from the wonderful hosts Tonya and John. Carrock Cottage is in a beautiful part of Cumbria, with brilliant facilities a very short drive away in Dalston and so many walks and days out near by. We will definitely be returning. The cottage is probably the best we’ve ever experienced and the hosts and their family were so helpful and caring. The farm itself is immaculate and very hard working so it was a privilege to stay there in its midst. We chose this quiet part of Cumbria to avoid the crowds and introduce us to a different area of the Lake District. And it didn’t disappoint. We are already planning to return. We had a great time. Thank you Tonia and John.

Everything you could need to have an enjoyable stay. A lovely selection of treats on arrival, which we really appreciated. The farm is in a peaceful location but handy for the northern lakes too. This is a working farm and we could see first hand how busy a farmer's life is. Tonia and John made us very welcome. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

We arranged a tour around the farm and they let our in-laws come too, the welcome pack was fantastic as was the whole place and the photos did not do it the justice it deserved. The only moan I’ll have is the pub had closed a while back, well before we had booked and Sykes should have taken it off! The closest pubs were just over 4 miles but were really nice. Also there isn’t a wood burner it’s a gas fire but it was a lovely one and none of these spoilt our holiday and we would return again. This made our New Years stay special, thank you.
