1 Customer Review

  • "Over all this property was very nice, it was clean and comfortable over our stay just shy of a week."

It is in the heart of Windermere so everything is on your doorstep with other nice places just a short drive away. The issue below is minor in retrospect to some and may not happen to you but this is my experience with the customer service so take it how you will. Other than this issue, it was a lovely place to stay which is why I'm disappointed to leave this review. The only reason i have provided this with 3 stars is due to our issue with the WIFI. We arrived on Saturday 28th Feb around 4pm and noticed it was not working. Due to the time the customer service office was closed, then the following day being Sunday it was also closed, this was nobody's fault and have no issue with this so i phoned first thing Monday. I was assured the owner of the property was notified and would be in touch regarding the matter and i received an email confirming this. The WIFI was a range extender being a TP link on the ceiling and in the boiler room was a hub of sort with lots of Ethernet cables so it didn't seem like a simple reset as there appeared to be no router. With all the cables it seemed it was shared across several properties but I'm not sure, it was enough to make me not want to mess about with it. We departed on Thursday 5th March and there was no word from the Owner, due to being out in the morning/afternoon and returning in the evening i was not able to chase the customer service as the office had closed. Perhaps i could have chased in the morning but this was a holiday, it was logged i had an email to confirm, I had faith that they would be in touch and didn't want to waste time phoning customer service as they have no ability to fix the issue only to notify the owner which they had done. Normally WIFI is not a big deal but due to lack of reception in the area it would have been rather useful at times contacting people back home, and especially when trying to watch things such as Netflix in the evening after a day out but was stuck with normal TV with nothing on. This may not be an issue for some but it would have been nice to have a movie night for instance with help from the WIFI that was advertised. This genuinely would have been a 5 star if the issue was resolved as i understand things can go wrong, especially WIFI, but having zero contact made the matter unimportant and felt ignored. Not sure if the owner was actually contacted or if customer service said they contacted them but didn't i don't know, but either way i did my due diligence and reported the matter and it fell on deaf ears. Maybe if i chased and chased the matter it would have been resolved but that's not the point i should not have to do that on holiday and be on hold for who knows how long when i could be out and about enjoying my time off, it's been reported so my job should be done. 1 star removed for no WIFI throughout the stay and the other for the disappointing customer service.
