A perfect location at the foot of Pendle. A very interesting sculpture trail within walking distance. The Barley Mow next door serves good food & has a very welcoming atmosphere. Dogs are also very welcome there. The cottage owner goes above & beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay.

  • "We had a wonderful stay."

Communication from Angela was fantastic. She even told us of a village event that was taking place during our stay and popped a map round so we could find it. The cottage was spotless and had everything we could have asked for, even a fresh pint of milk in the fridge. The walks on the doorstep are incredible and our dogs loved exploring. Both pubs in the village were dog friendly and the cottage was truly dog friendly not just dog tolerated as so many are. Thank you Angela for a fab stay!

Pub next door excellent food & awesome walks from the door. Make sure you arrive with everything you need as no shop & we didn’t want to drive anywhere once we got there. Angela is a great host & we will go back.

  • "What a beautiful little cottage in a lovely tiny village."

We would definitely go back. Lots of walks still to do. A lovely little base to explore from. At busy times i would recommend booking a table in advance at either of the two pubs. They do get busy.

  • "A very cosy cottage in an interesting part of the country."

The kitchen was generously equipped and the cottage had everything we needed and more besides. The pub next door does really good food and there is another pub in this small village so you don’t even have to cook. The area is good for a range of walks and also for cycling in the main Forest of Bowland area. Angela the owner lives opposite and was very welcoming, even making a fire for our arrival, which we didn’t think we’d need in April but it turned out to be just what was needed as temperatures plummeted. I would highly recommend this cottage.

Thank you for your lovely review. It was a pleasure to have you staying at Lea View. Glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay despite the weather! Hope you can come again soon Property Owner

  • "Absolutely loved this cottage."

The owners where so friendly and helpful. Stayed as a single mum with my son on our first Christmas as a single parent family unit. Our stay could not have been better. Without knowing this, they decorated the cottage for Christmas, left a selection box and chocolates as well as a gift for my son from Santa. Highly recommend and I will definitely be booking this again. The cottage was so homely and cosy and ideally situated. Very quite and a perfect break away. I’d rather stay here than the lake district any time. Fabulous views of Pendle hill from the cottage also. Perfect is an understatement.

Our host where easily containable if we had any issue but it was not needed as everything worked fine and the information supplied was accurate and plentiful. They did drop by to see if we where ok and even dropped of extra logs as is was a little chilly outside. perfect hosts and we certainly re book in the car future Regard Russ & Joanne.
