"We had a lovely stay at Rivendale."
Enjoyed the hospitality of the Trawden Arms practically next door. The welcome tray was very welcome especially the milk. So much to see and do in the area it was a great shame we had to cut our stay short and head home because of a family emergency.

A warm and relaxing home with such comfortable beds and a great kitchen that had everything we needed. A great location for beautiful walks over to Wycoller & back via The Emmott Arms & the Trawden Arms! A bonus that the village shop is just across the road with such friendly staff and lovely goodies. We hope to return again in the future. Thank you.

"Great house to spend a break in, feels so new and clean."
Loved watching the birds and squirrels in the back, the bloke who lives below the fence feeds them daily.
Great walk to the waterfall, you need a map to find it, set off by the river just past the pub next door.
Buses on the doorstep to Colne, plenty of pubs and shops, only £3 return if you return after 7pm, bus outside Farmfoods arrives around 7.15.£2 each way in the day.
Well done to the owner, superb property.

My apologies for the longer lawn, it has been a bit of struggle with the rain. It has now been sorted out & patio swept! I'm glad you got the lovely weather when you came. I will defrost the freezer when I can fully defrost it, at the moment I have guests leaving & arriving on the same day.

"Rivendale was a beautiful place to stay for my solitary trip to visit my parents birth places."
The house was spotlessly clean and really well equipped with everything you could possibly need, with comfortable seating, a really well equipped kitchen and quality bedding. A nice welcome pack was appreciated and I very much enjoyed using the space and getting to know the local area. I would recommend the house as a lovey place to stay.

"We have just returned from a lovely weeks stay at Rivendale."
The house is in a great location with the local pub and village store less than a minutes walk away. There are some beautiful walks in the local area, so no need to even take the car out. We found the house very clean, warm and the beds so comfortable & we loved cooking in the large well equipped kitchen. Trawden is a very special place & we’re sure to return very soon!

"This is a great property, clean, modern and in very close walking distance to local amenities (community pub and shop)."
Not a usual holiday destination but would recommend to anyone wanting to visit a range of places including the Yorkshire Dales, Forest of Bowland and the Fylde coast. The only downside were the very creaky upstairs floor boards if you have a light sleeping child!

"The property is lovely and was really clean."
The kitchen had plenty of storage for food and a good sized fridge freezer. The beds weren't as comfy as we had hoped and the dishwasher was out of action for the week we were there which meant a fair amount of washing up. We managed fine in the property as there were only 2 of us, but given that it sleeps 5 there wasnt enough seating in the main living room that said it was a lovely property to spend a week in.

"We recently stayed at Rivendale for four days and it didn’t disappoint."
It was our first family get away as a family of five and the house was perfect for our needs. It was spacious enough that we weren’t on top of each other but still cosy enough for us to spend quality time together even if we were across the living / dining room.
When we arrived there was milk in the fridge and a choice of tea or coffee which was perfect as a quick brew was needed before going to the shops. They also provide two chocolate lolly for my children that when down very well.
The furnishings in the house were beautiful and the kitchen was well equipped for the meals we cooked.
There was a lovely seating area outside but unfortunately the weather insisted we couldn’t use it as it rain most of the time we were there. This didn’t dampen our experience though and the house is well situated for many surrounding areas so a perfect base.
I would / have recommended this cottage and will we definitely look to stay here again.

"We had a lovely stay in Rivendale for the week."
Comfortable, spacious, relaxing cottage set in the village of Trawden. Friendly commuity and we utilised the Community shop across the road without the need of going to a larger supermarket. The kitchen was adequately equiped for self catering and enjoyed many a meal sitting at the dining table. They only thing we felt was missing was a small milk jug for morning breakfast. We went to the Trawden Arms for a delicious meal and the staff were very friendly and welcoming also recommend The Old Rock Cafe. We explored the local area, lots of public footpaths but unfortunately the weather was poor and didn't venture walking as much as we would have liked. We highly recommend Rivendale to use as a base to explore the surrounding and wider area.

"Rivendale is such a lovely place to stay."
Upon arrival there was fresh milk, eggs and tea and coffee, which was a lovely touch.
The house is very spacious and beautifully furnished. The sofas were very comfortable and a lovely large tv to enjoy films on a night.
Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and bathrooms too.
Lovely seating area outside to enjoy on a nice day.
The pub at the top, Trawden Arms was very welcoming, with lovely, friendly staff and delicious food. If you are looking for a night out.
The kitchen in the house was very spacious and well equipped for cooking family meals.
I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone, and will hopefully stay here again in the future.

The kitchen had everything we needed for the days we prepared meals and we also ate out a couple of times at the Trawden Arms, which is next door and can recommend the food, the staff are friendly and made us feel welcome. To say we were next to a pub isn’t an issue with noise, we found it to be really quiet. Skipton is a nice place to visit and also walk alongside the canal. Also had a lovely day at Lytham St Annes and finished the day with a meal at Miller and Carter, always enjoy the food at a M&C. Can highly recommend staying here and would do so again if we decide to stay in the area.

"The property is very well maintained both internally and externally."
The owner gave us her number in case of any issues and we had to call her f on how the heating works which she came and showed us. Very pleasant lady and extremely helpful. We had supply of eggs and milk upon our arrival which was a very nice touch. The internal property décor is of a very quality and kitchen has all appliances and kitchen accessories.
There are many local amenities and local farm shop has daily items and we bought bread and local butter which was awesome. There is a pub round the corner call Trawden Arms where the food was excellent, very good atmosphere, staff were friendly and had no hesitation for a chat.
Overall an excellent experience and will have no hesitation to recommend to friends and family. We will for sure consider the place again.
